Canning_s Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Hey, I have recently downloaded Continuum. I have tried to enter a zone (more than one) and they all require a password... Are there any free servers out there? If so, pls point me in the right direction to get access to them. Thanks Simon Canning
PoLiX Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 It wants a password for your alias you are trying to use. All the zones are free to enter. You may be using a alias already in use if it says incorrect password.

The problem is you are trying to login with a username that has already been registered. Unfortunatly the error is very unclear this is the problem. Bascially add a few numbers to the end of your username and you should be able to get in.You can always use ?find playername in game to see if a name you want is free and use that instead after you have entered the game. My secound point is to the wider community and SSC Council, is it worth me continuuing working on this installer, as I know a number of people have this issue that Simon has experienced, and would my installer get support if i developed if futher and fixed the bugs? (ie would it be put on the official sites).

Obviously, I can't speak for the other major SS sites, but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't put it up too.
Samapico Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 If it were bug-free and stableis it?Haven't tried it
Aceflyer Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I'm not sure about its current status. Last I heard from doc flabby, there were still some minor bugs that needed to be ironed out...
ThunderJam Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 Ace i believe his question was to a broad range of ppl, asking whether or not this installer should be desired as the premier installer of ss. Not whether or not two or three ppl would put it on download sites, but whether it SHOULD be on the sites
Cancer+ Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 If it is bug free and stable, it should be on all of the sites. As long as it is better than the current one. If we didn't do that...we would be stupid, am I right?
»doc flabby Posted August 11, 2008 Report Posted August 11, 2008 Well, is it bug free and stable??Its stable but not bug free, i'm willing to work on making it bug free if it will get official support, I don't see much point fixing the problems if no one is going to use it, got other things my time would be better spent on
