Golani Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) Hi, I've heard of a log program that will log each day separately and automatically. IE: Every time you leave/enter a zone, you don't have to ?log name, it will do it by itself..and it will organize the logs by dates. Can anyone give it to me? It'd really help me out. Thanks! rootbear75 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) pretty sure this is what ur looking for:http://ssdownloads.com/index.php?act=file&fid=1150 To install Logmaker: -Unzip Logmaker.exe into your Continuum root folder (example: "C:\Program Files\Continuum") -Replace your 'Continuum' shortcut(s) by a shortcut to Logmaker.exe. Logmaker will automatically start up Continuum when you start it. To activate logging for nicknames: -Right-click on the shortcut and choose 'properties' -In the 'Shortcut' tab, add the nicknames you want to have logged in the 'Target' field using the following syntax: C:\[Path]\Logmaker.exe +Nickname1 or C:\[Path]\Logmaker.exe +Nickname1;+Nickname2;+Nickname3 For example, if you want all profiles using the nicknames 'Bobby123' and 'IloveApples', the 'Target' field would look like this: C:\Program Files\Continuum\Logmaker.exe +Bobby123;+IloveApples After this, each time you start Logmaker, it will edit the profiles in Continuum that correspond with the given nicknames, then startup Continuum. It will add "?log dd.mm.yyyy.log" to the 'auto-message' box in those profiles. This means that a log file named with the current date will be created as soon as you enter any zone with that name. If you already have auto-messages set on those names, you will probably need to rearrange them, since Logmaker will replace the first one. Note that each auto-message can be separated with a backslash ( \ ). For example, auto-message could look like this after you started Logmaker and if you already had other auto-messages set: ?log 1.1.2005.log\?loadmacro 17th\?chat If you're using a prerelease version of Continuum, you will need to rename its executable to Continuum.exe, otherwise it won't launch. Golani Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Posted January 19, 2008 Yes, that's exactly what I am looking for - thanks root. However, when I try to unzip the file, it says I first need to buy WinZip (or w/e it is) before I use it. Is there anyway I can simply unzip the file without buying the program?
LBW Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) use a different zip program like winrar Edited January 19, 2008 by LBW
Golani Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) I got it to unzip, and I saved it to my desktop. However, when I click on it to open, a small window pops open saying "Profile.dat not found!" Am I saving it to the wrong place or something? Edited January 19, 2008 by Golani
Hakaku Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 You have to place it into your Continuum folder; then select the file 'Logmaker', select your profiles and click begin.
Golani Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Posted January 19, 2008 Awesome! It worked. Thanks root, LBW and Hakaku!!
rootbear75 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 (edited) actually, im having trouble opening it from a shortcut.... i have it as this: "C:\Program Files\Continuum\Logmaker.exe" +rootbear75and it keeps saying profile.dat not found (and i cant remove the quotes, because path names cant have a space in them for some reason..... (maybe so u can shortcut-link to a webpage) Edited January 19, 2008 by rootbear75
Samapico Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 Path names cannot have spaces because it couldn't differenciate the path from command line arguments (like +rootbear75, in that case) I never had any problems, but the path it's in has no spaces so... Also, make sure your Continuum.exe is not named Continuum_040.exe or something like that. It will only work with Continuum.exe
rootbear75 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 well the example in the ReadMe file lists Program Files as the path name..i tried a unicode %20 to make it a space but that didnt work...
