I understand there is an agenda to push there but i think the counter arguments made are guilty of the same thing. With a debate this heated the truth often becomes somewhat distorted. Also when i said negotiation are going nowhere i was referring to the current situation, i think that if things get going again negotiation might just work but some nations still seem a little eager to reach for their armies on issues like this.

I 100% agree with this. A knock on is that employers or any other organizations have to take on more gays, blacks etc to meet equal rights targets. I am a big supporter of equality but this seems to actually reverse things rather then level the playing field. In their bid to appear more "equal rights" these people are actually employing out of proportion with the general population. This fixes nothing, in fact it may even increase tension between minority groups and the general population.

Its a sad fact that if yoor stright and you make a gay joke, inuendo or do something sterotypicaly gay you are a homophobe. On the other hand it seems if your gay and dont act very over camp your a homophobe. crasssise anything the gay community do = homophobe I seem to think that these people deliberaqtly segregate themselves and use their "minority" status to grab attention. I have grown up amoungst very liberal people and am a liberal myself and so most of the people i kjow couldnt care any less about somones sexual preferance yet i cant help think that might just be homophobic as well.

Where the truth lies is very unclear on this issue. What is clear is that negosiation is going nowhere and as ever the US will force its forign policy onto the UN to bring a resolution to the issue it is happy with. Granted that many western governments are supportive oif the US actions now but ive a feeling things will go downhill fast and we may wind up with yet another war in the reigon.

@ smong What i was trying to say is this. If mervbot can connect to the servers without a problem then wouldnt a newly coded client be able to to it on the same way? IE use the same encryption code as merv. If this cannot be done and somone out there has the time thgen perhaps they could code a whole new back end as well using the same DB to keep all the accounts and info. Thing is given the way pervious attemts at a client project have gone I dont see this happening any time soon but perhaps at some point in the future when things get dire.

Well continuum and subspace being used together confuses newbies For those of us that know something about this game its a non issue, we know the client is continuum and the game is subspace. Problem comes in when somione called it subspace with a newbie abround leading to confusion. On top of that all the !@#$%^&*es are "subspace" like SS central and subspace downloads which is more confusing to newbies. Its also nice to take the game back to its roots bnow we have the chance.
