Wow someone mentions Vietnam! That's good. This idea of yours is very very similar to the one I had.. a lot of similarities hehe. I think it's a well made map but I don't like it. I don't like it because having 2 totally different games in one pub map will only unbalance the gameplay. This would suck in pub because everyone would be doing whatever they want, so either neither one of the games would have enough players to keep it fun, or one game would never be used, and since 17th is all balling, the unusued game would probably be the flag game.

Ëverything seems so däm complicated when it doesn't really have to be. hint hint ?setoldsettings wink wink nah but uh, this place is going nowhere.. something needs to be done.. something smart.. and sometime soon.. or this place will just remain as it is.. and eventually people will get bored and leave.

Hehh! This topic will go on forever until someone steals the owners' computers and change pub themselves, because it seems that nobody in charge have any intentions of making any changes. As I've seen it, staff's always working on things "behind the scenes" but nothing ever really happens, and when they rarely do happen, people freak because the changes they made were silli. Seriously, people have been making pub maps for literally years, and we still have the same map as we had in early 2001. If you ask me, the best change at the moment would be to bring back the opal map + settings.

Those who want to turn 17th into something it wasn't made for (and this is what those who've changed things in the gameplay have been doing, weather they know it or not), should just go and make their own zone and leave this one alone, go experiment in a test zone and develop your ideas there. Because a lot of them are good ideas and well made maps with settings that suits them, but they just don't suit THIS zone.

"Fast paced turf style flagging, keep your territory while at the same time trying to take over your adversary's" That's where all the fun lies! The sense that your team has a home base and that you have to fight to control it, while at the same time sending out attackers to take over the enemy base.. I mean wee.. And it makes sense too, if you think about the theme, the name of the zone etc. I think it's obvious that the pub should be turf style flagging bbl

Alo Anduril, I'm sure everyone knows life doesn't revolve around 17th, but this just happens to be a forum for 17th, so that is why we talk about things related to 17th here. If you don't think it's worth debating these things to improve the game in this zone, why do you post here? You're the one who should leave if you can't contribute anything to the discussion/debate and keep telling us to grow up simply because we're not content with how they've dealt with things.

Eh, read the text Vile typed under the screenshot. There were about 30 people in RRL and lots of DSB players.. I didn't say everyone in DSB came here when they couldn't play there, but I know for a fact that it affected our pop a lot. And again, I'm not talking about population, I'm talking about the gameplay. As I said, people will always be here no matter what you do.
