You can distribute the game anyway you want. You can start a club charge a fee do anything you wish to do. I would refer them to the download links provided by the community instead of CDS. It will keep costs low and also expose them more to the community we have here.

Ill be short. New version of continuum may be hitting the streets. Have a couple of people interested in maintaining the site for me. It may be time to give the old baby a new look. This site is going to be one of if not the biggest pusher of the new version of continuum. the vast majority of SS related sites that have downloads link directly to our files This new version may help bring some new visitors to our game and it would be nice if we had a nice revamped site to go with it. Here is what we need 1)Pretty graphics 2)Intergrated file manager with control panel for the addition of new files Able to easily import existing databases and or stats. 3) Easy to maintain and use. The site has been keeping a number of records for sometime now. And that can not be lost in the conversion. the file archive includes 1000s of individual files and is a huge task. If you are up to it please reply to this topic. Also please do a nice demo mock up of what your vision of the new SSDL should look like. Keep in mind this is a major portal to the community and thus should represent a good positive and hopefully (fresh) feeling to new visitors

No offense polix but this was a bad move I have used Jaguar before and hey are horrid even for the price. While i can see your view points with the control panel. Cpanel is still the industry leader Since you have been on my box (to my knowledge) You have had 0 issues that affected the website The speed has been much better than what you guys had before. If it isnt broke dont fix it. After all i am not charging you or the community for any of the space or bandwidth used. I see no reason to switch stuff around unless you like fixing !@#$%^&* after moving. This is all of course your choice But didnt know you wasnt happy on a server that hasnt had any noticiable downtime this year. If you need more resources all you had to do was speak up keep in touch. The only thing i was against doing was moving additional people over to my server that (used to be paying for service) and now getting a free ride. on my expense Its fine if its for the community but if you swift/syrus want additional resources to host side projects You can do so with me I was just not wanting to do it for free. Of course i wont charge what the going rate is but anything to help cover the costs of keeping a sever of this scale up is a plus. I have had this particular server up for a very long time and there are no plans of it going anywhere. It would also make more sense to keep everything in house as if you did plan to put other !@#$%^&* on my box and did decide to help financially You would be helping the community out by giving back to a server thats donating Instead of giving out even more money to some other company that has nothing to do with the community Let me know what you decide to do have a good one.

Um no. Since i host mission critical material on my server i need a way of getting the content fast if I need to grab a backup i dont want to wait 4 hours to download the content from a slow host. Which is why i have it on a burstable connection. When somthing needs restored it can be done so in a few minutes or less. regardless of the content size. Plus i need somthing that i can count on to be online when i need it. A bussiness class cable modem dosent fit the bill.

The backup server is only to store Backups made of this server. Its not another server on hot standby In any case dispite the maintence and the money spent to keep active backups (server costs harddrive space and BW connectivity) I have informed all that need to be informed that they should also be making active backups as well

Full backups run monthly with incremental backups being run every Sunday which gets uploaded to a remote Server i have setup for backups only.

One of our providers had an issue and this resulted in a few inaccessible sites. The actual downtime was very small Resulted in some people being unable to connect to the website/Game server for about 12 minutes. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

The Iphone is indeed a step in the right direction. From a phone standpoint its very amazing. The sms layout is awsome. The way the browser works far surp!@#$%^&*es most readily available PDA phones on the market. I Read long before the release date that the phone will be shipped with 8+ gigs of memory which is huge for a PDA phone. The voicemail aspect of the phone is pure ownage. The gui is layed out much better than windows mobile and palm bottom line. I have owned beta tested and or used some of the most powerful PDA/Smartphones on the market and the release is very anticipated amongst heavy bussiness cell phone users. I have never owned a apple product but deeply considering purchasing equippment
