Well how about the usage of the sysop *lag command. It displays the overall lag of players on the server. The only thing i do not know is how accurate and updated these values are XD

Btw by mentioning zeke's settings change... I also remember that Zeke posted in the news file that the current settings would be in a test phase that would last like 2 or up to 3 weeks... I know i sadi this already ingame but maybe osme of you weren't on at that time... When are these 2 to 3 weeks over so we can finally play 17th again? And Vile: You asked some players to stop arguing, yes. But you asked em to continue on the forum because more ppl could participate here so a solution will cristalize out of this. So what is the curent standing? I can only see that the ppl who are using this medium of conversation agree to and are talking the same stuff over and over again so it's the same f'cking talk we had ingame where you had to zip or gag ppl who were simply arguing the same way. So I would say we win at least by numbers but the dictatorship yet remains the dictatorship and won't be changed to a democracy that easy. Cheers Faither.

lÖl Cencil give up... maka had the same idea of remaking 17th to what it was. It can obviously not be done. Dunno why but can't. Though Vile agreed with me that the shipsets are as they are now unbalanced and asked Arcane and me what could be done to change em (Took us quite some time to make him say that) (:. So simply let's wait and see what happens. In case you shouldn't believe me: I GOT LOGS! (: -- Cut -- About the mothership thingies that can no longer be hosted as rifleman posted some while ago... Well some1 scared away most of the old playerbase so in 17th remain nearly only newbs that seem not to know how to use the ?go command or what the green spam messages are about... Simply go ask in the zone: Do you know what mothership is about? Well yeah there still are some of the vets returning to play a bit pub shooting up the newbs but that's it. Could be that the prob all the vets see in 17th as it is atm will be solved simply by one fact: Old players keep going and the newbs don't care or know what the others are talking about and take it as their destiny... Good luck y'all with that policy maybe it works, maybe some still remain complaining about the current situation. We'll see about that in a while. GG

It's ok ppl who lag on purpose suck -*BAD WORD*- since it's a cheat you cannot really ban or penalize (I have a shared i-net connection even when tracing me you might see that i might lag 'on purpose' which is not true) That's the reason why you cannot hunt down ppl you traced and found out to lag client sieded since it might not have been on purpose. The thing about the frame check is another thing. Yes there is a server setting to check on ppls minimum frame rate and now go figure why nearly no one uses it. The serves might lose 'clients' the so called players that make the game alive. Back to the times I was playing on my 200 MMX i was using the maximum resolution i could get. It was a frame rate critical. Too many ships or explosions and would have been set in spec for the hack you announced. Cause one thing is for certain: The higher the resolution you play the earlier you can react, dodge or attack your opponent. How would have you decided in my position? played in 1024x768 or lower? I think the gfx are ok. What's up next? Will you eventually start fixing the settings? I like the idea maka had but i think it's outdated and it already seems to be forgotten by some of you since it would be like back to the roots where a lot of upper staffers seem to be scared of. I'd only like to know y... I'm really missing those old ships! and yet it would still be an improvement even tho it's a step back in history! Sorry for getting a bit off topic but it's at least topic related.... o_O
