By the way, if you convert a SubSpace screenshot .bmp file to a .png file, it will keep the quality and end up about 64kb's. A nice size for an attachment, and looks a lot better then a .jpg.

Just wanted to say that I think 17th staff are fine. I have no reason to dislike anyone. Things are good as is. But people sure -*BAD WORD*- a lot. -*BAD WORD*-ing is never good... And how long has it been going on? (the -*BAD WORD*-ing that is). The zone seems to run smooth enough to me. I think the SubSpace community in general is pretty small, and not exactly growing. Oldschool 17th isn't going to ever, ever be back how it was. its like me wanting to go to DZA and fly in straight lines lobbing bombs at A1, or playing Speed, or Turf, or Chaos with its j12 bursts. Not going to happen again. Nope. Never. I think 17th has turned into a soap opera; ntfx cheated on vile with mike, so they had to write him out of the script, and pernille is the token female, and teen boy fantasy. dakillaroach is just the best, no I mean the best er, ever. no, no...no really! of course he's releasing his book compiled of his 466 forum posts about how 17th staff suck shortly. ...umm. what was my point? -nez/zettai

I may be a newbie who doesn't play Jav cause its too common, and who hasn't been playing forever, and sure I lag and suck, and maybe my $0.02cents isn't strong against your $, but heres my opinion anyway . I don't actually know any of the old settings. I haven't been playing for 3 years. I've been playing for around 3 months. I like the current settings. If anyone thinks the current weasel isn't good enough, why not spec arcane tactics when he's hunting me? There are many good weasel players out there. I think all ships have a place, and I've recced all of them at one stage or another. I think there are many good players (vets or not, how would I know) that have mastered the other ships. One thing I do know as an ex-chaos player, is that one map...forever...is very tedious. I could do with a change to 17th. I probably would quit 17th if the old weasel was introduced. I like the settings as they are. I dont want an unco-one-hit-kills ship on the loose to ruin my stats. p.s. if jav's are so great, why can't people rec them to 4016 bty like my warbird? screenshot29.zip

i like it too. funky tileset indeed. flag placement could be better. two safe-zones too, that means its all the more easy for me to run away and lurk while my fanclub waits for me.
