tried windows update, doesnt find anything cant find anything in mobo doc's either

I can play other games fine, GTA vice, gta3, call of duty, need for speed undergroud, fifa2004... all work fine

Both are built into my motherboard, Asus A7V8X.

I have already tried all the obvious stuff.. Old / new drivers, tested hardware in other machines, uninstalled/reinstalled continuum, different versions of continuum, various display settings...

All the drivers are upto date, its a newly built computer. DirectX version 9.0b

When playing continuum, my computer will turn off without warning. When turning back on, screen stays black but I hear " SYSTEM FAILED CPU TEST" or at least thats what i think i hear... This only seems to happen when playing. Sitting in spec either windowed or in-game and sitting in the safe zone seem to be fine. This only happens with continuum, everything else is fine...

building computer is fun.

well uhm.. i did nothing and its working now so... im stumped. i have 3 like that i like this 1 tho cos it got dvd writer/cdrw and stuff, and a glow-in-the-dark transparent green/blue case ;P

updated all drivers already, computer is: Xeon 3.02 ghz 1GB DDR400 RAM GeForce FX 5900 256MB Panasonic 24" monitor Windows XP Pro DirectX 9.0b
