  1. Thank you.
  2. Doh my bad lol. Look I have been away from this game for nearly 10 yrs until just a couple of months ago. I will stfu now. And yes Three WoW as in that is where I have been since whenever it went retail but am back now FU :)
  3. Council - Good question, no idea. I asked hallu to remove me as nothing was getting done. As far as I can tell it turned out to be a huge waste of time but I could be wrong - I have yet to see the fruits of this venture. Warbird - I spent more time than most tilting at that particular windmill. Odds are better having chia pet hair grow on my bald head. The Warbird is like hallowed antiquity... you can't touch it. Roster Size - See Warbird comment. I think 8-10 is more than enough but was told hell no on the council. Full subs - How about 2 subs (each get a repel, 1 Thor, 1-2 rockets, or something along those lines)? 4 man turrets - This isn't chaos public. It's a teamwork game where people compete 4v4, not chasing a turret. I have zero interest in chasing members of Iced Out or hagetaga/a-poc running like women. Thank god it was removed. Map - see Warbird comment. Also fine with the same map being kept. Roster lock - This is too subjective. People could stack right before roster lock/playoffs.... hard to enforce and be unbiased in roster movement. This is a tough area to discuss. If a team folded and that roster movement wouldn't drastically change the outcome of future matches, then those players should be allowed to move (I think that is how it is now). It is really annoying though when rosters are locked during the week (probably because a few abused them being unlocked so now they are locked). Ref - I'm glad a few people run this league (for as much of an asshole he is, Caer has always been dependable when scheduling matches and showing up) but dealing with him is like having a porcupine crawl up my rectum - no thanks. With regard to every squad having a vote; terrible idea. Bronze league SC2 players shouldn't get a vote on balance changes (in this case, ship settings). While 4v4 team play isn't rocket science, there is a reason why only a few teams win. I think people can and should voice their opinions but giving everyone a “vote” shouldn’t be allowed, hence the council. Too bad half the council was inactive. 5 members from the top 5 squads, who start for those squads in playoff matches should be chosen and hash out topics suggested by the public that merit attention. Sorry to sound like an eliteist but just because you played high school football doesn't mean you could start for the Alabama Crimson Tide in college.... hopefully that makes sense and isn't a labored metaphor. It's not only a question of ability but of understanding how a game is played on the highest level. Now if you wanted to have a different set of rules for PRO and AML/IML (are there enough squads for a clear distinction right now) then that is another topic. Can the bots do that? Etc. As it stands now Wado Kai shouldn't be "voting" on Weasel settings (sorry Wado, just using a name). If the council is dead someone could bring over the threads/ideas posted - there was some good stuff in there.... it would save a considerable amount of time. I don't mean to play nihilist but the most likely outcome of this thread is 7 people contribute, 2 talk shit, and nothing gets done. Best of luck getting things changed (sincerely). Three
  4. New squad: Critical Mass Captains: Three and Ozn Roster: Will be added once able in game
  5. Please unlock the rosters as soon as a Pro Champion has been crowned so player movement is allowed while people are still interested.
  6. The council is aware of these items - I will happily call a vote. However, the problem is we still don't have a head chair person for the council. Also, some of the council members have yet to vote or post any thoughts (I brought this up weeks ago). I don't want the job but will take it if I have to... but If I call a vote and 7/12 people vote, what the &*#@ is the point? I'll bring it up and see what response we get...
  7. 4.0.5. -- Number of players, no-shows The minimum number of players required to start a game is 2. A squad will be kicked from league if they no-show two weekends in a row, or a total of 4 times during the season. All no-shows count as 0-12, same as BYE rounds. Round 14 - http://www.svssubspace.com/index.php?page=Game&id=115779&season=14 Round 15 - http://www.svssubspace.com/index.php?page=Game&id=116006&season=14 Will a new squad be made to take their place?
  8. Count me in for the draft. Good idea Captor. Hope I can make the events. Name: Willy
  9. Rest of the squad has been redefined to mean Kingnewbie. Stats for this game can be viewed at: http://stats.svszone.com/?page=Game&id=113805MVP: Sika (+21) -- Runner Up: Three (+8)LVP: KinGNewbiE (- -- Runner Up: Ozn (0)Arena UNLOCKED Three> gg Candyman> team stack defeated KinGNewbiE> gg Arctos> gg Unless the rest did it in form of " or :#Requiem: and I hallucinated the rest of our squad chat The win is nice. But if you're happy about the way Requiem got it... well, we don't really need to get too worried. Also stop refering to Nguyens as my squad. I don't run it. Kingnewbie dropped plenty of shots in that match too there buddy - you don't see us crying about it. For a guy that feels pretty "meh" about everything Subspace related you sure type a lot when the team you're on loses. We look forward to playing FTNguyen again. Perhaps players like Sika, bhang, etc. "lag" because of a bad ISP where they live. It's probably a combination of that and the fact that they live across the Atlantic Ocean. Sweden and Finland are both over four thousand miles away from the server. Edit: Please post the schedule on a separate thread. I have zero interest in reading your "recaps".
  10. I see. In that case I see nothing wrong with Candyman trying to simulate events that transpire during a match (using one full sub - completely legal in a match). What Rage was just banned for isn't allowed in a match. I also think all lag outs should be burnt in a practice (just like a match). The idea being that there aren't enough staff members to police whether or not a player intentionally lagged themselves out to either not die or lose items. Max lag outs in practices should be set to 3 (looks at Macuto and shakes his head), just like a match. Time limit being 30 minutes instead of 45 I understand. It seems counterintuitive to have practice rules differ from match rules when the entire purpose of practicing is to prepare for a match.... but hey, that's me. Cheers. Lag out limit at 3 was previously set. People would just get a new alias. Thus it was removed. And prac rules just... are different. And you should not "emulate" fullsubs, just like no one "emulates" a match lag out. And Legacy is gone for three days for subbing in for the opposing team and suiciding out. http://www.svssubspace.com/?page=Game&id=113835&season=0 Not to try and prevent something that is blatantly unfair from happening because a player might try to get around it really should not be a practice that is followed. True enough. But the other part in that rule revolves around the times when there aren't people to sub the laggers. Most of the time people have the common decency to sit games out if they are constantly lagging to spec. Not only does it suck for the opponents, but it essentially makes their team play 3v4 since you can't count on a lagger. But yeah. When the limit was 3 and 8 people were on.. things got silly. All in all, those are all Underlord's calls. But I'm pretty much fine with them, seeing as how the other options are very strict and not based on the league being what people make of it, but a nazi utopia. Plus they all require a staff of a gazillion to enforce each others' lag outs. The times when there aren't people to sub the laggers... most of the time people have the common decency to wait until you can get a 4th with the !spam command.... Teams that have the lagger also get the advantage of having a guy yoga teleport all over the screen while the other team wastes items that they don't get back on that lagger (then the lagger subs back in, with items). This is a more common occurrence then not being able to field a team because of a lagger. That is the main reason the !spam command exists. To get a sub. Underlord's calls? I respect Underlord for whatever coding work he did for the bots and the site... however... I along with many others are questioning the calls of a college dropout that implemented 20 thrust sharks and juiced up terriers. "His" rules aren't infallible. He is fallible just like you and me. For league betterment you need to have some discernment and objectivity. Get past the personal shit, listen to those who are trying to help make the game better, and implement changes where they are needed. If you need coding help just fucking ask. If you need staff help, ask. How is requiring someone fix their connection a "Nazi utopia"? There is only one person who is acting like a Nazi here. Not being open to changing rules because you're content with rules set in place years ago IS a "Nazi move". Suggestions made, specifically ones put together with reason (not a mirror's), are shot down or insulted. How is that productive? What value are you adding in your position if you aren't constructively and actively trying to improve league? And no, I don't want your "job".

  12. Miserable troll. Good game.
  13. That is your opinion and you're entitled to it. I think you're wrong. It's all boiler plate stuff anyway. Anything you or I say won't change how things are run. It never has and it never will.

  15. Well Rage I was not exactly sober when this happened and apologized for drawing out the 5 lives thing, but I guess sorry again? I didn't want you to get banned. No idea what you're talking about Grand Dragon Caerbannog. Man the KLAN be crazy these days.
  16. All, The SC2 expansion came out three weeks ago and I'm looking to get back into playing a bit. Specifically, arranged team 2v2. I was Diamond years ago with minimal play on the ladder and had a shitty comp. Let me know here or in game. Preferably someone living in the Pacific Time zone. Three
  17. I assume matches will not be played next weekend, Sunday, March 31st (Easter Sunday)?

  19. Heads up - daylight savings time for most of us happening this weekend.
  20. Nice! Thanks to all involved!
  21. 22. After seeing a line bombing Leviathan post some pretty interesting analysis I thought I would throw my own thoughts into the mix. Enjoy. Gods After a long hiatus it's good to see this team back in league. One has to wonder how many of these new squads will stick around, but for leagues sake I hope all do. I wish nothing but the best for this team. Headed up by BloodyEssence, Gods return for season 33. The way things are shaping up I assume if there is a PRO/IML cutoff, Gods will be on the cusp. They will have to pull some upsets to get into the pro playoffs. I suggest they get on the waiver wire (so to speak) and add some active depth immediately. Best starting lineup: Adept, Imperfection, Genocide, X-hail Alpha Reunion I'm really not sure who most of these players are but I give them props for entering league in a zone where the population has dwindled for years. Good luck guys... gotta put in the hours. Best starting lineup: Mighty Sven, FUEGO, Hallowed by thy nam, BadLamb FTNguyen The defending Pro League champions enter season 33 with their heads held high. After breaking Assassins hearts in the finals yet again, and going undefeated in the past few regular seasons, FTNguyen are looking for more blood as they ogle another title. The question is will another squad match them? Best starting lineup: KiNGNeWBiE, The Village Bike, 7th, mAImER Shocktech Another new squad that got 12-0'd by Llamas in round one of the regular season. I'm sorry guys but this season is going to be freaking ugly unless you get Travis and kboom on your roster and active. Best starting lineup: .....? Llamas Ah Llamas. A team that has always had potential and has always fallen short. This looks to be their breakout season as Llamas have a pretty decent roster. This squad will be vying with Rebels for the 6th spot in Pro League when the regular season is all said and done. They have the capability to make some noise if they can put it all together. Best starting lineup: Street Fighter, babaloo, Cycl0ne, Shikaa (twista, parabola, hedcase8 in the mix for subs) Starfire Elite Good ole SFE. Whenever I see these guys playing I get a little choked up. This team reminds me of Nightwatch. Guys that have potential, never won a Pro title together but who play for fun, and play to win. I'll be pulling for these guys to make some noise but sometimes you can only get so far. Good luck SFE. Note - MfA, use some of the energy you did last season on mines on forward moving bombs that connect. Best starting lineup: a suicidal dentist, Mauler, gold teeth, Plutorus Assassins I'm not sure why this squad is still called Assassins. It was always intrepid + Dingo. With that being said, Intrepid enters season 33 with a strong roster. They could field at least 3 lineups with different players that would all get to the Pro playoffs. Expect this team to get far into the Pro post season. Best starting lineup: Jake, Jae, Kdak, bhang Unhallowed Unhallowed returns to Pro League, thankfully, for season 33. I and they both wish chronos and Seismic were with them. This should be an interesting season for Unhallowed, but I don't see them going too far if one of their starters doesn't show. Best starting lineup: Death Artist, Fre0n, Nadai, cfl Nuke Somehow Caerbannog let Dre captain a team in league. Face Palm. Thankfully Enforcer is co-captain so it won't be a huge fail. I'm also confused as to why The Dark are not back this season, but I digress. Nuke will make a lot of noise in chat this season, the question is whether or not they can actually deliver on post season game day. Talk is cheap gentlemen. ?go duel is ----> way Best starting lineup: Nacre, saiyan, Blink, Da_Monkk Rebels Rebels will be competing with Llamas for the 6th spot this season. This squad really lacks a game changer. One can only imagine what Rebels could do with a player like develop/ghostbuster17/savage. But with the roster as it is right now, they will be hard pressed to get passed the top teams in Pro. Best starting lineup: Ra, Eric Clapton, gato, Barbarian Requiem Requiem returns after a very long hiatus. A new look Requiem but Requiem nonetheless. The question for this team isn't activity but putting things together when it matters most. All main players are past Pro champions, all have the mental fortitude... cohesion will make or break this team. Best starting lineup: Candyman, Ozn, Sika, Three
