  1. I don't understand why it's called daylight savings anyway. Don't you need to save daylight in the winter when there's less, instead of the summer when there's more?

  3. 2 sigs on one ship? Omega solid rush lanc, here I come! Also, i remember that before the times of ammo, repels used to not suck, as in, instead of the weird double rep delay crap that we have now, a repel would actually immediately repel. This can be noticed when chasing someone, they rep, and you don't get repped away from where they are, a moment later you get repped from where they were... For turreting, bring back the lanc item that allows more ships to turret, and lessens the slowdown of turreting ships

A cobalt is nowhere near as insane as autoturrets dropped on the enemy lanc. 1 flag, 15 minute drop timer if you want it to be an "OMG A FG THAT LASTS 3 HOURS" sort of thing. 12 flags, one dropped at a time wouldn't let the music play until the last 300-400 secs of the game. I've always seen that attackers tend to rush and take risks a lot more when the music is playing than not, even if the enemy has all the flags. This way, the defense always has to be alert, instead of being able to slack for most of the game until the last flag is being dropped. Also, one flag will prevent gay ass splitting which makes flag games take much longer than they're supposed to. Anyway, does anyone know when this is happening?

  7. Alright. I didn't find the one with the POW graphic, just a white square. I was thinking of trying to create something similar to the fireworks at 0:25 in this vid: where instead of just one big boring square, it's a bunch of small repel/circle things blinking out once in random spots over something like a 400x400 area
  8. It's still possible to wallhack 2 tiles the"traditional" way, but much more difficult. Like, a 1 in maybe 25 chance.
  9. I didn't mean to create a "panic!"sort of feel to this thread, sorry if I did. I found some lvz that looks right in jowie's file, but they're not animated, one of the bmp's is a white square, the next is 4 red squares getting progressively darker. I thought that the flash bang was something more complicated, which was what I was trying to create, but for now I'll try to get a basic animated black/white flashing lvz working.
  10. I'm trying to make an LVZ for a possible flashbang field, and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could find the old flashbang LVZ if they have it. I'm trying to make something more interesting that 2 frames alternating between black and white (bright/transparent). JoWie sent me a bunch of old lvz's which might have the file in them, but if anyone knows for sure where it is and they know they have it, please upload here.
  11. After a certain speed, bombs (and i think guns too) just glitch straight through ships. So, if you direct hit a wb while in a levi going at like 100mph, the bomb wallhacks though the wb and does no damage. It happens more often than you think. Just have an item that sends like 3 thors in a really tight pack, like 10ms delay. though that would be a bit OP too. Anyway, HS needs a homing missile function. Have it be a consumable like thors, so you can only have 1 or 2 per life, and gotta rebuy them all the time. Make it a shark that shoots out of your ship, immediately locks onto the nearest player, and starts flying towards them. Have it set up so that when the shark-missile is at the same coords as the target ship, it lays down a maxed quantum or something. high damage, but not always a 1hk. Also, since it would be a regular flying ship, it would be possible for the target player to dodge it, or rep it away. Also give it health or something so the targeted player can shoot it down. Nerf it enough to make it almost useless, but still barely worth its immense price/exp requirements. Adjust as needed. EDIT: have the homing missile replace bombs or something. Also set it to a command like ?missile
  12. No bounce week would be some epic rushing in basing. Also, and i'm sure a lot of players will want this: "No prox week" other ideas: Bring happy cobalt day back (everyone gets randomly prized a cobalt) Bring vortex back (why not?) Single tile base week >.> Make a really long base out of the area between bases and sectors (aka rabbit zone)
  13. make it a bit earlier, something like 6 or 7pm est? any earlier than 8 est is fine by me. one flag. or 20 flags allowing one person to carry all. one flag would be best though, prevents stupid flag splitting. 200 secs was what i voted for the first time, but come to think of it, 5 mins might be the best. 10 mins is a bit long, and most balanced defenses will be worn down in 15 minutes. Unless... We have a 1 to 1.5 week long competition before this game for someone to build a MEGA SUPER EPIC BASE the size of about 4 or 5 normal bases, and have everyone vote on which base they want to use. maybe even set up some "finalists" of said competition in separate arenas so people can try flying around in them. Cobalt trivia would be fun. Dropping autoturrets on nme lanc though... really? it seems extremely OP, unless it's only for a single lanc, and only kills it once, and is removed before the lancs AD's. Also, would it be possible to increase leech money/radius for this fg? especially for lancs.. since anchors are gonna get bored and should be rewarded for anchoring instead of fighting during this epic fg. This better be awesome.

  15. wider does not = better but narrow does not = good. Super rigged holes and bomblines also do not = better. Atleast psythe and fujin are working on some new bases, maybe based off the old psi.lvl...

Yeah, but how often do you see flag teams balling? usually they cant cause they either try to ball through the enemy in their own base or they can't afford to lose one or two people from their defense, or people aresimply more interested in flagging than balling. Usually its a smal priv freq of 2 or 3 people balling to increase jp. ^^
  17. for the medium sized base idea, would it be possible to make one or two really long bases out of some of the empty unused corridors that are between bases? aka "rabbit zone" places that typically aren't accessible. maybe add a 1-way safe zone teleporter like the corner ports in center that warps you to the beginning of the corridor base to make it easier to get to, or something. Make ball rewards higher (not significantly, maybe to 1.5 or 2k), make ball goals easier to get to w/o increasing rewards, OR allow summoning of smalls with the ball so freqs can flag and ball, if summoning with the ball is even possible in theory (again, w/o increasing rewards).

  19. 22k exp for dilith? It might not be alot for those who actually play the zone alot, but for the non-regular players, 22k exp is way out of reach... If you're going to put so much effort into making a unique item like this, atleast make it so more than 3 or 4 people will be able to get it by the reset. An ammo system would be a huge pain, but simply increasing the delay to atleast 15 or 20 secs would let it still work as an evasion item, while keeping it from being too OP

A brick that lays a 1x1 warp brick, like the one that used to be in b8, so that you can plant them and limit people getting past them. to keep them from being OP set the delay to between 3 to 5 secs, so you only get warped by camping on them, instead of insta brick warp. An item called Kojima Booster, as a 1 mil alien, that is intended to warp you small distances in center, but instead, when you use it... CRASHES ZONE!!!
  21. zone shows up on the biller as up, but when I try to connect to it it stays at the warp window and eventually says "failed to connect, check network settings, etc." 3:30 PM EST

  24. base 7 is still broken.. not the warpgate, but actually flying through the bottom bombline will make you jump a couple lancs length about halfway through. It can also trap lancs in the little cave thing above the bl. also, both sides of the warps near the b1 fr dont work
  25. ^ +1 would brain allow you to enlarge the safe in minibase? maybe put it back to 2 tiles wide so something more than a warbird can fit in it? EDIT: didnt read through until after, didnt notice the "one minibase safe tile only" thing.. still, would it be possible? if not, why?
