note :: sorry I haven't added this to my other forum, this is just an epiphany I had on my way back home today from a meeting and I didn't think anyone would notice it there. :: HYPERSPACE :: The whole point of hyperspace is flagging. While this is fun, and generally exciting as it allows team cooperation and integration of skills and special item usage, usually resulting in a profitable gain at the end for both sides, it generally get boring after 2 - 3 base games. ::SUMMARY:: Hyperspace needs a new angle, something to keep players interested, that isnt sporadically handled or not set, something players can look forward to without having to be online to hear about it. These events will be hosted and set-up by an Activity director, whose job it will be to set up these events, inform players of when it is happening, and then presenting it to the mods. This will increase fun, while simultaneously keeping players population medium to high. Money and bragging rights will be available for all to come and take for their own, so grab your best ship and get ready for some heavy playing. :: CONCEPT :: Every month, other month, or even couple of months a Director will put together a game or list of games or the community will discuss games they wish to be played. He will then integrate it into a ?go map or ask mods to place a map he has made or a diffrent player (nolan ) onto it. I know mods are busy with life and school and the like, therefore the couple of months / every other month gives mods time to prepare for the event. The director makes sure everyone who comes online is likely to hear about it. These players will then either chip-in a certain amount and moderators will then grant the remaining prizes OR that director could be given power for each game. That moderator could be someone new, someone who would be a fresh face for hs moderation and will be supervised during these events, or an oldy mod who will still keep the custom going. These games would be either team-orientated or even have little additions to the game. (see GAMES) at the end, the winning team or player would win a set amount of money following down the chain so everyone gets something for playing. Any money left over will be degranted and given right back to the mods. (this can be monitered by checking the mod or new mods money account beforehand and then just setting it back to that) afterwards, the director comes up with a new concept, asks the community to vote on which of his idea(s) sound like fun and the process repeats. :: GAMES :: Games will change through player discussion and moderator ideas. this is just a list of things I thought would bring an extra little twist to the game for an *in example* feel. Treasure Hunt -- in which teams of 3 recieve a hint or multiple hints to finding 2 powerballs, first team to bring both powerballs back to the finish will recieve the prize, guns and bombs will be locked as will specials, however you can still steal the ball if your fast enough (xD) Player count :: 5-15 Rabbit -- (I'm going to assume none of you have heard of this game) one player plays as rabbit with a maxed out ship killing players, players will recieve a point for killing the rabbit, first to 5 wins with people who didnt get 5 win 100$ a point (or more) also, the rabbit shall recieve 100$ from every 10 kills made. VARIATION :: base game, except instead of flags each team has a rabbit, this rabbit is defended in a base, attacking team has to eliminate the enemy rabbit, while defending their own. Money won how fast team can eliminate enemy rabbit. Player count :: infinite. Thor warz -- Every player gets a set number of thors, repels, and a very small amount of health, they then remain in a map with hundreds of little boxes, they choose their box and get cloak. Enemies shall thor and it is the persons job to remain unknown until he can get the location of his enemy. Winnar shall win a set amount of money, players shall recieve less so for kills and mvp etc. Player count :: (depending on the map) 5-40 -add more later-
