Not sure why shark was chosen, but maybe using a ship that fires two bullets at a time (wb) or 2 wide bullets (terr & spider) could help a bit in the meantime. Also a multi might help a bit for it too...if it already has multi, disregard that.

While I don't agree with this post here overall, I can understand where he's coming from. I could be getting the names mixed but I think its zephr (or the lvl 2 bomb with prox & shrap) and the other lvl 2 with prox that he's referring to. It is extremely annoying (tho manageable) in center and there are javs running around with that vulching and running, lol. The jav is the new bty ship now and I suppose it's only fair to give them their time in the sun... But don't add speed, nothing worse than a btyer you can't catch. They are hard enough to catch as it is and with the faster moving and harder hitting bombs, a jav can run backwards and own the bty hunters.

I agree. But I think a lvl3 shrap bomb with no prox would be a nice add. The no ammo issue would not be necessary for this item (but it may add a nice twist). To keep it simple, just make a cluster bomb at lvl 3 with maybe a slightly higher delay and/or energy use. Could be with slightly less shrap too if necessary, but either way it would still be weaker than tac nuke in a base situation while still usable in center somewhat, though cluster would definitely be better for center. The prox on tac makes it overpowered in a base with a long bombline. Especially when there are 3+ levis firing it. Might be better to just nerf the prox on tacnuke and lessen the delay a bit...it's done. <!@#$%^&*uming a defensive posture for the incoming flame from the levis>

Maybe there could also be a requirement for full energy to use it so that it doesn't become just a "save my life" feature.

I agree that raising the price would just make it harder for the poor people to counter the thors. I like the idea to have thors sold at base 8 instead, it may be a very temporary fix. I'm interested to see what is planned by the mods...

Speaking of balancing, why is it that I always get a team full message whenever I try to change to a pub freq without first going to spec even when the team I'm changing to is obviously less than the other pub (i.e. 7 on freq 1, 12 on freq 2). This happens regardless of whether I'm on the larger freq or in a priv freq. I always have to spec first. I should say that I basically always get a team full message unless the freq is empty now.

No one is perfect. Almost everyone in the Bible did something that you might not agree would be right. This is the point. We all do things at some time that we probably shouldn't. I doubt that you are such a righteous person who hasn't lied, stolen, or done any other type of harm to someone at sometime. We all have done something like this...and it's good to know that we can get redemption for it. Even science has proven the Bible to be accurate and the Bible is the most accurate historical book in existence and is used as a reference tool in archaeology for events that have happened within the last 2000 years. They have recently found the locations where the Red Sea was parted and where Noah's Ark landed. Pieces of the Ark have been discovered on a mountain in the Middle East and broken wheels and parts of chariots of Egyptian origin from the time that the event is to have occurred and bones have been found in the middle of the Red Sea at the location believed to have been crossed. (Because of the geography of the Sea floor, it had been determined that there were only approximately 2-3 places they could have been able to walk across and this one was found by submarine with video and pictures.) This was done not by casual observers but archaeologists. If I had doubt before, I don't now. The design of Noah's boat as described in the Bible is flawless. A scale model was made as described in the Bible and tested in a wave chamber and was unsinkable even with comparatively high waves as those that would have been created in a storm such described. ...and I could go on about other things from the Bible, but I won't. Yes, believe as you will, I don't fault you for your disdain of what is conceived to be the christian church. And I agree that there are people as described who claim to be of such. The asteroid belt, the moon (the closest of which can be seen with the naked eye), and other planets in the outer solar system blocking so many of the asteroids that would have spelled our doom centuries, if not ages ago... The plants and animals...even down to the bacteria in the earth contributing to the intricate balance of our eco system which not only maintains, but even re-corrects itself while we are trying to destroy it. Could this all be by pure chance? Bang and zoom and here it is? Believe that if you want, it is your choice...but I prefer not to.

I thought it had been changed to lvl 3. They didn't seem to hurt me that much when I got hit with it (without aphasic) and I was actually using shock. Course it didn't hit me much. We were in base and most of the bullets hit the wall because the aim literally sucked...I didn't even have to try to dodge them. It fires fairly slow compared to other guns used in the base so I was focused on other things and with the slow "turn" of the aim it pretty much wasn't an issue. Thats why I brought up the bounce. That said, it was base game and maybe it was aiming at ppl on the other side of the wall. I doubt it, but its a possibility if they are closer and that could also be used against you, without bounce. But you are right that lvl 4 hurts bad so if it is lvl 4, my bad. Maybe if you increase the delay on it and/or lower the bullet speed a bit with bounce? It seems like bounce would be crucial to making it worthwhile for a sig even if it were made lvl3. What's the point of using it when in a real base game most of the time it just hits the wall (and this is when you need it the most)? Without bounce though, maybe it should be a non-sig add-on or emitter. Still somewhat a sacrifice since you are stuck with only two of those and the price is not cheap.

How about keeping the AI and just adding bounce to it? It would be much more effective in a base that way and the AI just as it is would keep it most effective when used defensively. This way the PD won't have to aim so well and the pilot could use it's slower, or slightly off, aim to his advantage with the bounce aim without making it overpowering. Without bounce its almost useless because it would likely hit a wall before it hit you and there are ways around an AI (improved or not) when flying in the open. If possible and necessary, maybe decreasing it's bullet speed would help maintain a fair balance as well. ---- One sig slot is enough.

Nice idea, wasn't sure that it would be possible, but.... This gives me hope. If this is true, maybe there could be a slight modifier added to the amount of money gained on kills based on the number of flags held by your team, similar to what other turf zones do with points? Would be nice.

Trap laser is definitely one of the best, if not the best, base gun. Though many may not want to sacrifice their sig slot for it, I still think it should be kept in game, although it literally sucks in center, but anyways... I think what most likely happened is the pop was lo and tiss was prob not realizing how much spamming was going on. It's real easy to spam in a base and not realize it. Even with as low of an ammo user as trap laser, your ammo drops like flies in a base and 70 bty with a hi xp lvl doesn't give much money. I've lost money under the same cir!@#$%^&*stances in center also.

If at all possible, I agree this could be a good alternative. Maybe increase its range too or something.

It got me thinking of another item though. How about a new type of parasite that brings about a better s!@#$%^&*? Maybe for a higher number of kills or something. Might also be good to have some other items like this in general that you could earn in a similar style. Maybe not so beneficial to your ship but that you could sell to make money.

In general, if he were really doing what he claimed to, I wouldn't have a problem with it. But this was obviously not in his safety. He went seeking to kill them and he did. This is first degree murder. Reports show that he shot them in the back. How can someone threaten your life with their backs to you and you having a shot gun?

Your first paragraph sounded ok, but then I read your second one... Wow. maybe YOU shouldn't be allowed to vote. To keep it simple, if you are going to say someone is Arab, then that same person can't also be white and black too and since we know that Obama is half white and African...he can't be 46% Arab (46% African would be a more acceptable answer). An Arab and an African is not the same thing. Hint: Africans come from Africa, Arabs come from countries in and around Saudi Arabia. I believe Dr Brain has already said that was impossible, the only solution would be to make the lanc have higher gun/bombspeed I prob should have said that instead. A higher bullet speed would be nice. I think that it should keep the same bomb speed or only increase it slightly. The slow bomb is more defensive and ties into the type of ship it's supposed to be.

How about ?inv instead of ?inventory ? ?trade or ?itemtrade for trading between players. The person who types it should be the one with the item. Could be an ?offer command for the other way around? Silver just started a topic asking for something like this. I guess that topic is not needed now. Good idea!

I like this idea. I don't know how "doable" this is either (maybe it's not), but I was wondering if you could at least maybe turn a wep or item off...or like to take the ammo out of your gun or turn it off and use only base gun on command and then be able to turn it back on. Not so sure this is worth the trouble, but it would come handy when you would rather preserve ammo and don't need the higher firepower. (Especially in duel arena where its just a waste.)

I think the main point is that runwinning is annoying because it's hard to stop (especially in the tunnels). It's fairly ez to run and hide with the flags although I agree it's not as annoying as it was before. Maybe if there was a mod to slow down ppl some while carrying the flags that might help a bit without necessarily hurting a fg. It may even help fg too by making it more interesting on the tradeoffs.

I can't see a leagues happening in HS since the player could have a 2mil item..Unless they give every one the same ship set..Which destroys the purpose of Hyperspace..... Actually, since the topic was on hosting and mods, I was asking about having someone host leagues or tourneys. Do we foresee any of that happening anytime soon? I don't really mind the use of pub shipsets since it seems like this zone is based on the idea of having a choice how your ship is made. But I think that it would be wise to limit the items available in that tourney/league to a select few.

Specially if you do that constantly to team mate whos in a shark and you having a brick/field? Or where a team mate slipped p!@#$%^&* enemy freq, you do ?tunnel while lanc. BOOM, in 1 command you switched from attackers to defenders. This is partially why i think that 2 mil is too much. This should be somewhat accessible to the "poor", imo maybe 150 or 200k at the most because personally i think the unlimited token is much better since it allows you to warp at anytime and it uses basically what appears to be no nrg or close to it and u can use the token with flags (which i think should be nerfed). The unlimited token is 450k and doesn't use an alien slot.
