New duel Bot! Because players missed the duel bot I have created a new one. It is in the arena duel loaded under "Lips". Usage: - ?go duel to play - Enter one of the tubes in the middle to enter a box or just enter a box the regular way. - Tell your opponent to go to the same box number. - Set the kill limit with !kills . The default is 5. (So if you don't set any kill limit with !kills it will be set to 5) - Duel! Have fun -MMaverick

There has been a slight misunderstanding about the new top 100 feature in pub. Let me explain it. You can only get in the race of the top 100 if you get on the "Most (...)" at the end of each soccer match. For example "[W ] Most kills: PlayerName (7 kills)" which is displayed at the end of each soccer match. If this happens with your name, then your name is put into the !top100. When you get on the "Most (...)" in more then just one match, then your old number is added up to the new number and that is put into the top100, probably on a higher position. Recoil, your comment has been noticed, however you must be playing on one really old computer if this causes lag. I haven't got such a new computer either and I'm not experiencing lag, at least not from the new announcebot -MMaverick

As you might all have seen when entering 17th Parallel - there is something new in town.... It is Announcebot! What does it do? It keeps a top 100 for a week period. You can see the current top 100 and your personal place in it with the !top100 command. Announcebot also announces news, the top 100 and everything else via the text displayed at the center of the map. It does this via a lvz file which you download when you have the "optional graphics" option turned on. What doesn't it do? It doesnt cause lag in any way, it can only cause a little lower fps. Credits go to Rifleman LoveWar MMaverick And everyone I might have forgot Cheers Have fun! -MMaverick

The 17th Bot development group is working on it. However it would help a great deal if the coordinates are given, stated in Rifleman's message(s). -MMaverick

17th Parallel is searching for bot builders! As already stated in news.txt, we are searching for bot builders who can help us built some bots that are going to be part of the zone. This includes creating new bots from scratch, updating old bots and recreating bots from source. Those who are accepted will have their own bot capable of connecting to 17th Parallel, and can choose which bot they want to work on through a online group connection. In the end you can have your own bot running in the zone. Can you code in c++ and are you interested in creating bots for 17th Parallel? Let us know! Please contact Rifleman in-game or via information posted below. The following should be in the mail: 1) How experienced are you with C++ and bots? 2) What is your nickname? 3) Source code for a example plugin which you feel demonstrates your knowledge with C++. --------- CONTACT INFORMATION: --------- Rifleman the_scer@hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------- -MMaverick

Great idea!! When hosting I need to view my self-made macros before I can start using them. Now I am doing this via alt-tab, my screen has to switch resolutions, anyway it takes alot of time. Such a new feature would save every host alot of time MMaverick

As of right now we are applying some changes to the gfx and the bot aswell. It will be up soon and I'm sure you will see it and love it. Ow. btw. this new feature doesn't cause lag.

Thank you 000 for your positive post. This is the thing that keeps staff going

great idea swift! This solution will also keep the (pub) chat clean

Why dont you all stop the pointless flaming and the pointless messages about how bad this zone is and how bad the staff is... Why dont you all give some feedback staff could REALLY use. That is not "the pub map sucks", but "the pub map could use a ..." or "the bases should be removed, because..." Then action can be taken, however at this moment these posts will remain a flaming and complaining threat without any of you achieving anything with it.

I like this idea too. Everyone sees a zone message (with / without sound?), however you can ignore it yourself.

Exactly packetloss, there is the bug Yes akai, it happens too when you manually add it to operators.txt

Hi everyone, When working with MERVBot I noticed there was a bug / problem with the limited operators. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, maybe it is already fixed, however it doesnt work with me . Here is the problem / bug: When you have a mervbot online and you got acces to it, add a operator with limited acces. !addop -l=1 SomePlayer No problems here.. All works fine. However when you close the bot, the bot writes the added operators to the text file Operators.txt. So 'SomePlayer' is added to Operators like this: 1:SomePlayer: No problems. Only when you start the bot, the following message is given: Invalid Limited-level operator ignored: SomePlayer () The operator isnt added at all, it is ignored because it recognizes it as a invalid operator. I think this is a bug, however it hasnt has to be Please check this and let me know how to resolve this. Thank you, MMaverick
