  1. The problem was caused by the new system that hides the voting links for quotes you've already voted for. I just got back from holiday yesterday so I've not had time to do a proper fix, for now I've just made the links show for all the quotes. I did notice that the quote lists were loading somewhat slowly after the change though, so I made a few other changes, including: I've changed the number of quotes per page to 25, down from 50. I'm experimenting with moving the name highlighting to javascript. This has drasticallly reduced page sizes but you won't see any highlighting until the page has fully loaded. I'll try to get a proper fix for the voting links done later this week, as well as a few other things. As always, comments/suggestions welcome.
  2. OK, I got FTP access back - pending quote list is cleared. I added an RSS feed while I was at it - http://quotes.sscentral.com/?feed I tested it in a couple of readers and it worked fine but let me know if you have any problems with it.
  3. Yeah, after they moved the site (without telling me ) my FTP password was changed too so I couldn't get in to find what went wrong. I've PMd Polix so hopefully it should be sorted soon enough.
  4. I understand perfectly. Edit: actually where's yours Brain
  5. Oooh ooh do me do me
  6. Yeah www.mame.net. And 'cause I'm nice: get (this) for a decent frontend and (this) site is generally good for ROMs
  7. Play the original with MAME
  8. The game type byte is left plain too? I couldn't remember if that was the case
  9. You encrypt it just like any other packet. From memory, you would leave the type byte (0x00) unencrypted and encrypt the rest. You really should be looking at other source code to find this for yourself...
  10. Wtf I was joking :S lol
  11. Nice work, very impressive.
  12. What's a catid?
  13. There is a mirror but Akai didn't post it :S Perhaps this is before its time.
  14. Uh not really... I use lots of programs at the same time (Cont, Trillian, HTML Editor, FTP, Browser) And Grokster is a P2P program.
  15. This is not helpful. What happens? Does it fail to connect? Does it crash? Does it not run at all? Give detail.
  16. Meh. Where's yours.
  17. Because it's cool to not put a question mark. See.
  18. Meh, Johnny come lately
  19. Meh...methinks this thread will be locked if we keep meh'ing. But I bet the admin won't "meh" so they're out too.
  20. Uh no, that would be horrible.

  22. IIRC, the MacID is the serial number of the hard drive, so I'm sure Linux will be able to read it anyway.
  23. Wth are you talking about? You don't need a webserver in subgame... You just send the file same as news.txt, but it's called news.htm... You might need to link to images, but they don't have to be on the same server...
  24. It was more image size I was worried about, but thinking about it they would probably have to be stored on a seperate site anyway, which would remove the problem of lagging the server. The code change shouldn't be too bad, IE makes it easy to display web pages.
