Welp, I updated the BIOS and it didn't fix it. So I just wound up buying a new video card. I discovered $175 in American Express Gift Cards in my room, and bought a GeForce GTX 550Ti for $173 (hella expensive, but he said he'd waiver the $ for workhours they spent trying to fix my computer, and install everything for free... figured y not, not like it was coming out of my pocket). Everything's working fine except my network adapter. I think I need to buy a new one because it might not work with 64-bit windows. When I first installed windows 7 64-bit I was using a USB wireless adapter. But in the process of moving, I think it was thrown out. Oops! So, if anyone wants to buy a perfectly fine GeForce 9800 GTX/GTX+ video card for $50 (was $300, and it's still a VERY GOOD CARD even in today's standards), I do accept PayPal. (The video card works fine, just not with my motherboard apparently). My mobo is an ASUS P5N-D

I've been trying to fix my computer for SEVERAL MONTHS now. I eventually decided to take it to COMPUSTAR of all places, and even they cannot fix it. The problem: NO video goes to monitor when my video card is plugged into my computer. I can't even see the BIOS POST messages! The weirds: The video card works in another computer. Other video cards work on my computer. The attempted solution: Tried the above, and tried a more powerful power supply. I also swapped the memory. I also completely disconnected the hard drive. What will be attempted tomorrow, but I doubt - updating the BIOS for my motherboard. When this happened: shortly after installing windows 7 64-bit Ultimate edition (like 2 days). Could this have f'd with my BIOS through updates? The video card WAS working fine in Windows XP. But now I can't even see BIOS messages (but the computer and all its components are active). Video card: Geforce 9800 GTX/GTX+ Motherboard: ASUS P5N-D The video card from another computer that works on mine: Geforce 7600

I think it's great that this game has a community (ies) like it does. It's very very unique. I think what's missing is a sense of representation. So, let this be the first, and unofficial, SubSpace Gaming Network Appreciation Day. It's a beautiful saturday here in Brooklyn, NY and will enjoy the whole day. So post your "happy SSGN day" greetings to your fellow forumites. I find a lack of a subject is very popular on these forums. So this is your topic. Happy "YOU" Day!

Order of Operations (PEMDAS): Parentheses Exponents Multiplication Division Addition Subtraction 6/2(1+2) 6/2(3) <== parenthases [1+2=3] 6/6 <== Multiplication [2*3=6] 1 <== Division [6/6=1] It's been a long time though, and that "division and multiplication have the same priority, so you must solve them from left to right" sounds very familiar and I could be wrong. It could very well be 9 if that's true.

the banner on the front page of ssgn.net that says "click to download now" is broken.

If you guys are interested, I can see about setting up some news programs for the Chaos League on Subspace Pirate Radio like I've done with the Trench Wars Draft Tournament. Live streaming and downloadable podcasts, advertisements, the works. I'll speak with hallu. http://www.sspirateradio.com/demand

Hello Subspacers, From the confines of our mother's basements, the Trench Wars Media team has banded together to create podasts covering the Trench Wars Draft Tournament. During these podcasts, we recap all the matches from each division and give mentions to star players, game highlights, and predict results for the next week's matches. The podcasts are available for download from www.sspirateradio.com/demand. Starting next week, we will be turning to live broadcast shows instead of pre-recorded podcasts, however the broadcasts will be recorded and available for download if you missed it. The live broadcasts will sport 3 or more people together on the air reviewing the matches. Subspace Pirate Radio is online 24/7 and you can tune in any time to groove to some music! Tune in at http://www.sspirateradio.com/listen These podcasts are brought to you by Trench Wars Media.

I'm just asking because I honestly don't know. But has anyone actually asked him for it?

If you get this rolling, I can do recap podcasts of the matches on SSPR like we're doing with TWDT: http://www.sspirateradio.com/demand

If you're playing in TW, there's 3 fighter ships.. Warbird (esc+1) Spider (esc+3) Lancaster (esc+7) Warbirds kill enemies with 1 (blue) bullet, but they use up all their energy for that one shot. Spiders kill enemies in multiple shots (red bullets), and use a minor amount of energy per bullet. Lancasters kill enemies in 2-3 shots (yellow bullets), and use a moderate amount of energy per bullet. You die when your energy reaches zero. There is a visual display of your energy at the top of your screen, and a numerical value on the top right. Each zone has different settings for the ships. For instance, in Extreme Games you can shoot like 50 bullets in a Warbird, but each bullet does less damage than the Warbird's in Trench Wars. -Poster of the Century
