I think you should check it anyway. You don't want to type "Come on guys tach" accidental not pressing the message key and disabling cloak while next to a bunch of enemies in a base.

I was in elim when it was restored the other day. When the round was over, instead of getting chat messages, I heard the windows error prompt sound effect noise. In the space where the error message and start menubar is, I can see my mouse, but I can't click on anything and Continuum is still running full-screen so I can't really see anything. The only way out is by holding down the power button for 5 seconds. Same thing happened to me when I just entered the Duel arena to duel emit. Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

jabjab do you like switching your avatar every other day? =P BTW Wings3D != Blender. Unless you guys have any more suggestions, I'm gonna take a break from modeling and start fixing my zone.

No script for Wings3d* Yeah, I'll take a look at the blender script and see if I can convert it to whatever format wings3d uses. I think there was a forum post about making wings3d plugins in C so I'll have to check that out. In the meantime, I am preparing the model for texturing, like getting rid of that "virtual mirror" that the fuselage has so that everything looks symmetrical. Update: redid the wings (again) using a better technique. The old way I did it would make it hard to texture.

OK I bumped it up a bit. Doing roll will take awhile, cuz there's no script for it. Wings3D actually isn't too well known for its rendering capabilities. I'll try to make a POV-Ray script or something.

Yaaaay double post Did this while watching Willow. Redid lanc engines to make them look more like VIE. Tomorrow I'm gonna start to texture the model. I think I know why my unfolding technique wasn't working, so I'll try and fix it, make some high-res textures, then make some animations for my avatar like sama Edit: Is it just me, or does the attachment preview mess up the images pretty bad? Sorry, just went to page 1 and hit the reply button. Looks almost like an atom with electrons connected with wires... I personally wouldn't use it. Actually, I don't think there is a way to make any ball in space look good. I mean, come on. How do you play ball in space with spaceships? Seems kindof silly to me.

Does the hotel internet work? So far the "free cable" is a myth. Now that I have my USB mouse, I can work on modeling while I'm not swimming/kayaking/watching stupid chuckecheeze commercials with my little bro and sis.

Hmm, may be a good idea. I might redo the engines using what I now know about Wings3D, but I'm not sure what I would do differently... I don't really know about that. It might be a good place to put some lights on, and maybe a hatch for servicing =P But for the lights, you could put those on anyway, and the hatch might not look that great.

I probably will not At least not on my first try. Anyway, I made some somewhat minor changes. The middle area of the bottom is now slightly raised. I didn't want it to look like a block like the VIE images though. Also, I smoothed out the rectangular things sticking out in the front of the ship. What do you think those are anyway?

Hmm, is that an air intake underneath there? I could do that... I redid the wings. they now look alot cooler. There is also a laser at the end of the tube that appears on the wing. Right now its just a curve with a hole in the center, because I have no idea how a good looking laser gun would look like It looks a bit more aerodynamic when its flat, but could have some fins. Actually, an air intake would probably look pretty good. (not like theres any air in space. could be some rectangular radar system...?) For my first original 3D project, I love how this is turning out, and I am glad you guys like it Sama what if you used this for your avatar? Edit: whoops forgot attachments.

Yeah, I seriously need to redo the wing. As for texturing it, I can't because the program gives me errors when I try... some math errors... As for the missiles, I was just playing with the software. It would be impossible to correctly position them because of the way continuum's settings work. I am not sure what else to do, the ship looks kindof bare without them. But yeah, I shall redo the wings.

Thanks for the comments guys! The models were made with Wings3D. I cannot export it to a .blend file, but I can export it to .3ds, .obj, and .x format. Here is all 4 in a zip file. The .obj and .x use triangles. I tried the "Ultra" compression level for the zip file so let me know if you cannot unzip it. Well, all attempts to texture the model by "unfolding" results in an "Internal Error: badarith" so I cannot texture the model right now. Every other method does not cover the surface properly.
