it's a type of server. the two types of servers are asss (as3) (a small subspace server) and subgame. most zones run off of subgame, but hyperspace runs off of asss. it doesn't need bots because the functions normally performed by them are run by the server in the form of modules. a module could be (probably already is) written to do what you are suggesting a bot does.

i play to kill things. the 2-3 deaths a day i get from cloakers don't put too much of a damper on the many more kills i get bc of inertial damper and energy scanner. har har, damper.

let's be completely honest and call this thread what it is: people making semi-subtle attempts to get hired as a moderator. you don't need to host events when pub is more fun than the events. yeah; i said it. the events here suck. they don't relate to pub or the core gameplay; they offer gigantic rewards to people who can race in a boring course; they don't utilize the server as they could.

question, how does name trading help subspace? also, a problem with resetting names is that some names have been used in the past and have held power, and resetting such names invites impersonation.

The issue that arises with installing xp is that drivers may not exist for your display, speakers, keyboard, etc etc, which would prevent you from doing anything useful on the laptop, anyway.
