i didnt read all the replies, but the oil companies are just maintaining their profit margins. as the cost of oil goes up, so does their profit, since they keep the same profit margins. but more money for oil companies isnt so bad, since it opens more exploration and deep/sea type exploratory drilling, for more oil. shrug.

The birthdate option in profiles won't let you set birthdate before 1909. There are many folks over 100 in today's society. Please correct this ageism issue, thanks

getting drunk, driving my car home, passing out (i assume, since i remember nothing) and having a head-on collision on a 1 lane highway with another car, this all around 4-5am. just luck of the draw i guess, normally woulda just run off into a cow pasture out here where i live. luckily, while the other guy was seriously injured, he fully recovered (after several months in wheelchair/crutches) and we made peace with each other. all i had was bruises/contusions from where the seat belt was. anyway, we spoke and continued to write even while i was locked up (although now that I'm out on parole, I can't contact him anymore, most boggling). he claimed he never wanted me to go to prison because no other crim history and just wanted me to get the 10 years probation, but DA of athens/henderson county pushed it. probably good for me in the long run, 10 years of probation would suck (intoxalyzer, monthly fee, reporting for 10 years, etc). there you go.

I remember when I was choosing classes at Uni there was a website you could go to that had the listed p!@#$%^&*/fail rates of all the students in every class and who the professor was, so folks would generally try to take the "easier" profs (or the prof might have just been better or more entertaining so people actually went to class and learned, take your pick).

40-50 over.. hol E SHIEEEET! now that's them crazy drivers. i actually sorta like them sometimes tho, cause if im in a rush i can follow them at a safe distance so any cop will pull them over first $ (which has actually happened once before haha).. well, id never go 50 over the limit, but maybe up to 90 or 95 on a 70. but i've been driving for over 10 years now and i've only gotten one speeding ticket - the 77 in a 70 zone, and i think that's just because i drew attention to myself by passing someone going about 65 on a one lane highway. i generally go 5-10 mph over limit. here in texas (where i live) most highways are 65-70, and some even allow up to . so there's really not much point in going much faster (it really eats into your gas mileage over 65 too). if you go with the "flow of traffic" on anything but the 70+ mph limit highways or school zones, you'll basically be going 5-10 over anyhow. some person said being caught behind a bike saves you gas but it actually doesnt i dont think? im pretty sure ive read somewhere that the most fuel efficient speed for most cars is around 45-60. is that correct?

i've been in one wreck my whole life and ive already discussed reason for that. i've gotten one speeding ticket my whole life too, that was for going 77 in a 70 zone driving through some podunk area on my way to college station tx (going to A&M from dallas). uh, it was madisonville actually. anyway, we dont really have any cyclists clogging the streets here in texas. i see maybe two or three a year, so they arent much of a problem for me. i feel for you though!
