  2. jesus, you only got $350 for that? if nobody else there had a video of it, that !@#$%^&* could have been worth tens of thousands.. or hundreds of thousands if it had been a black cyclist.. omg.. i havent seen any other video of that incident either, from a diff angle.. so you might have been the only one with your cam recording when the actual incident took place? i saw that on youtube like 2 days ago, hadnt been to this forum in a while.. it's like all over the place now.. who bought it anyway? are they selling the rights to all these news sites? or by putting it on youtube does it become public domain or what? dont really understand all the laws. ps - critical m!@#$%^&* sux
  3. really? i was actually considering joining the armed forces. 1) to help me lose weight, and 2) for the discipline. if there's a requirement, then i guess i cant :/ The listed requiements are: High school diploma or GED, 17-34, US citizen, single w/ no children or married with less than 3 children (this seems a bit bizarre to me), and the weight and physical fitness tests. If you're 6ft you're supposed to weigh less than 203 pounds for 21-27. Interesting enough, they list 210 as maximum weight for someone 40+ years old that has no prior service... but supposedly the age limit is 34. So whatever. I guess maybe the 40+ year old would be for reserves and not active duty. Anyway, it says it all at: http://www.army.com/enlist/requirements.html They're pretty desparate for recruits though and I bet they bend those rules a lot. They're even letting people in nowadays w/ violent felonies. Hmm, can't see where it says about your time limit for pushups and situps in the physical fitness thing.. but 30 pushups and 50 situps (I'm !@#$%^&*uming at you get at least 2 minutes) and 2 miles in 18 minutes (!!) is just ez (females only have to do 10 pushups ).. well, that's for 27-31 bracket.. you'd have to run 2 miles in 17:30, omgz, so hard. Fear the nearly 9 minute miles.

  17. #2 looks more realistic to me, except it has colorado, iowa, and new hampshire in the wrong colors and some !@#$%^&* in light vs dark and vice versa btw, iowa is "IA" and was colored blue.. which made me do a double take, since you said that it gave Mccain Iowa.. it actually doesnt, but it should.
  18. Hey, budddyyy! Anyways, I've known and dated a few Texans before who had just moved up to Canada, they're actually pretty nice folk, but I know I wouldn't be caught living in Texas anytime soon. I remember someone telling me that in some parts of Texas they can't have basements or something because of flooding? it's more a case of the soil type (altho in some parts they have higher water tables too). i've been in a few homes with basements. if you want to pay more and have a house constructed with one, you could get one in most areas. but basically instead of basements, you have much largier and roomier attics. it's really not just a texas thing anyways. in the south as a whole there are fewer basements. in the north there are more, since you have to dig a foundation below the frost line anyway.
  19. i guess you might be shocked to find out that obama would be called "black" in just about any country in the world. if a random person that had a similar complexion as Obama went to oslo, london, warsaw, tokyo, seoul, or wherever else, do you really think the population there would not think of him as black? btw , being called mixed (well i prefer to use the term Mestizo or Mulatto) in brazil makes them not racist? i present to you, the gringo guide: http://www.gringoguides.com/sambaracism.shtml or some other info for you: Brazilians are probably more color conscious than Americans because being black or white was not the question. One could be different shades; one could be a mixture of Black, White, and Indian. Indeed, the language of Brazil gives away their color consciousness. When looking at the definitions at the back of Freyre's book (1956), one sees many terms for color. These terms are arranged roughly from lighter skin to darker skin. brancarao --a very light-skinned mulatto, so light as to appear almost white; caboclo/a -- literally means copper-colored; applied to Indian or mestizo; mameluco/a -- offspring of white and Indian, sometimes including black; cabore -- offspring of black and Indian; cafuso -- offspring of Indian and black parents; cariboca -- a mestizo, part black and part Indian; cabrocha -- a feminine dark-skinned mestizo type; and cabra -- a brave mestizo of African, white and Indian ancestry. Other terms indicated the prejudice against blacks, one of the most objectionable referring to bodily functions. Such is the case with budum and catinga (referring to the body odor reputed to characterize the African). Other terms indicating great social discrepancies are: cria -- a young black, born and reared in the Big House; ladino/a -- a slave who spoke Portuguese, had some Christian teaching, and worked around the house or field; mae preta -- black mammy; malungo --a young black playmate of the whites lads of the Big House; mucama -- a favorite black maid employed as house servant and personal attendant; muleca -- a young black maid in the Big House; mulecote -- a sturdily built muleque, or black lad; muleque -- a young black; now a wag or a blackguard; and mulequinho -- pickaninny; small black lad. The fact that things have not changed all that much in Brazil is seen in the Dictionary of Informal Brazilian Portuguese (Chamberlain and Harmon 1983:628). Here is listed under the heading "!@#$%^&*" terms such as monkey (o macaco) and rotting black flesh (urubu), along with others of a non-complimentary sort.
  20. yah, i have heard all the horror stories about norton, haha. anyway, that a-squared free thing works great for me since it adds no memory resident processes whatsoever. it was also recommended as a good program by the guy that wrote that vista tweak guide (tgtc_vista.pdf). but if you do pay them money and upgrade you get this cool feature: Background Guard To stay protected against new infections of Malware, the a-squared Anti-Malware background guard is required. It includes the double protection using the OnExecution Scan, which scans programs right before they are started with the signature scanner, as well as the Malware-IDS. so works for me. using this whenever i download some suspicious files + maybe windows malicious software tool remover + onecare or whatever, and no mem resident programs. i prefer it that way anyways. you tend to get all sorts of false positives on !@#$%^&* like keygens anyways.
  21. i found something called "a-squared" that seems pretty cool. using the free version.
