its not just 1 call, all calls are free on christmas, but my battalion has put a 15 minute time limit on calls, and its going to be so packed , people seem to come out of nowhere on holidays for the phones, usually its empty at the phone center . we have video conferences every once in a while but those are short too, and its for married soldiers generally cause they host it back in garrison and not many family members live even in the same state as our duty station, also we have webcams but the internet is so dreadfully slow here its a pain trying to get it to connect

Merry Christmas from Iraq everyone, well this year i will get the day off, oh and the phone service i use to call home is making it free to call the U.S so thats about it, no guard duty and a free phone call woo!

well after military life can be tough on some people, i know when i go home on leave back to indiana there is like no military in my area cept for the recruiters, and its just weird being around so many civilians, after being over here and the crap that happens, and just being here so long man it really takes a bite out of you, its harder for some more than others though, in the article it said that the largest rise was the 18-24 age group, thankfully im 25 w00!

i am at a marine air base called tq trying to get back to my unit in ramadi, iraq, im going to be here all fkin day waiting on a flight when it would only take my unit maybe 2 hours to convoy here but i dont want to call them cause i like not being told what to do lol, tq is also in iraq

thats awesome, dust voids warranty, i cant wait til i get out of this staging area and get back to my unit and tell everyone that bought a ps3 about that, we have somewhere around 6 or 7 ps3's in my battery alone, and the px there ( in ramadi ) just keeps ordering more and selling them like crazy, im glad im to cheep to buy one HA!

nope, i missed her first b-day by 9 days when we first deployed, and i wont be back home until about 3 months after her second, thanks though

man, when i was home for my 18 day R&R my daughter almost cut my finger off with a pair of scissors, that is the worst thing thats happened to me since i deployed lol
