Anyone know why SSCC has been crashing almost non stop for the past 48 hours? It comes up for a short time, then down, then up, then down, etc.

Ok, coming up over 6 hours of downtime now. Can we get an update on this? Kind of getting tired of explaining the function of the biller to my players

I am looking for someone who is decent or better at working with bots. Need someone who can create a reliable turf style spawn point bot. There are several issues that can cause wireless problems like this. 1) Router is too close to EMI sources such as speakers, subwoofers, the PC itself, any large appliance, etc 2) Cordless phones in the house operating on the same frequency 3) Not enough power in the signal 4) Thick metal between you and the router 5) Solar flares (Yes, I'm serious! Rare, but had to toss it in) 6) Faulty Router Want to test the router itself? Connect via wireless, once you are getting the 6000ms ping, use the wireless connection to access the routers interface, go to the diagnostics, and run some pings/traceroutes. That will tell you if it is the router, or the wireless signal. If its the signal, start eliminating the above named issues one at a time. If this still doesnt work, try another wireless router and see if you get the same issues. Beyond that, yer screwed. Shock: I know you said you gave up, but someone posted this thread to me asking me to post back with something. P.S. I agree with above posts regarding Linksys. Their quality has gone down the drain in recent years. Get a Belkin or D-Link for home use.

I will have you all know that I spent over 2 hours last night voting through proxy servers to keep us within range of #2. Some schmuck was doing the same thing for Runescape, or we'd be back 100 votes right now from 2nd.

It is not often that such an old school game like Subspace can, after 10 years, still pull awards with such minimal changes as the primary software has had. Unlike many games, there have been no expansions, no huge graphics improvements, no real advertising (Do you see a single Cont link or banner anywhere other than Cont/SS related sites? Look at the voting site, theres a ton of adverts for games no where NEAR the top 10). Also, are you aware that this month is, I believe, the 10 year anniversary of the primary VIE launch of SS (Someone correct me if I am wrong, it has been a LONG time). What better honor than to win some recognition for it.

Yeah, we have DS going off on the voting too. I know that I personally am adding about 14 votes per day thanks to my servers at work. We might actually make it to the top again, which would be funny since if you click on Continuum for a description, it says we no longer exist

Even after you've been banned from the Zone AND Site, you continue to act like you're all that and have a angry mob behind you ready to charge into DS and do something dramatic. Your arrogance must be bliss. And who's "we"? Half the people on here disagreed with you. And you're obviously deceptive by nature but still fail to succeed at it. Trying to turn Amphibious, 2pacalypse, and who knows else against Viligante proves that. All the staff you turned against Viligante came to their senses after getting the actual truth from Death?to?all. You start riots, it's what you're good at. And you still think you're above everyone else, just like you did the first time I saw your application on the old DS Forums. I knew you were trouble the second I saw that thread filled with your usual arrogance. And to my dismay, staff hired you. I should have pointed certain aspects of that application out to Staff, while you were a Probation Mod. Sadly I made the mistake of not bringing it up and letting you stink up the zone with all of your arrogance and deception. And you left everyone quite a mess to clean up after the last stunt you pulled. Knowing you, I'm sure you're proud of yourself. After you ended up rallying up some of your old friends and silencing me a month or two ago, I could not wait to see you fired and banned. But once again I decided I just wanted you monitored and warned, as I wasn't out to make anyone miserable like you. That was mistake number two. The Desert Storm staff has now gone to the point of blatantly lying about me on their website now, www.zoneds.net. I was given a screenshot today showing the front page of their site, and it states: "Today, after the dust was settled and things were under control in-game, Skywize had evaded his IP ban, and brought a friend named STINGY**** to tag along. They once again posted a bunch of crap in the forums. While they may think this is funny, it is a very serious thing. By byp!@#$%^&*ing his ban, Skywize made an attack on the site. Attacks on this site will not go on without retaliation. And all attacks on this site will be taken seriously." Etc etc etc. Apparently, Shran and his complete incompetence at being a Webmaster, has decided to point fingers at someone else. I did not byp!@#$%^&* any ban, and I certainly did not "attack" their website. Unless by attack, they mean me posting to the forums. And unless by ban, they mean changing my signature line, because thats all that he did. I even posted about it. As for the "friend", I have no idea who the person is, probably another in the long line of people who know the truth. This staff continues to show their sad, pathetic ignorance towards all things. You can lie all you want DTA, fact is, you ARE innexperienced. Thats why you couldnt control the zone until Fly came around to save your butt. You have absolutely no idea what you are doing. You have NO social skills, you berate anyone who doesnt agree with you. I was voted the best, because I am, or was. You can claim "Behind the scenes activity" all you want, doesnt make it true at all. There was a reason that both of the times I quit that staff, the owner and all the sysops BEGGED me to come back. Whats even more funny is that I quit this staff for the BS that was going on, TWICE, and TWICE, not only did the sysops beg for me to come back, but Vili/Henk himself begged for me to come back, saying I was one of the few he trusted and knew did the right thing. Now I get a message from him claiming I was an "Abusive Mod". Make up your mind. Oh, and at the DS forums, I was voted to be the best Mod they have. Go figure

Today, a m!@#$%^&* exodus has occured involving the Staff in your beloved zone. !@#$%^&*onearth was fired after a bogus rumor was spread about him, resulting in Death?to?all being promoted, not only to a Super Moderator position, but also to Staff Coordinator. This was a huge mistake. Death?to?all is an ignorant fool. He has no clue what he is doing. As a result, the following people have submitted resignations from staff Positions with Desert Storm: Jericho24. (Sysop) !@#$%^&*onearth (Smod, Staff Coordinator) Skywize (Mod) bigcheif (Mod) Amphibius (Mod) 2pacalypse (Mod) Now, that being said, whats left? What is left is Fly Boy who is non active, Lewadra who is barely active and may resign once we get ahold of him, Death?to?all who is useless. Muzz is rarely on, Beenloadn is staff in name only, and the sysops are never around. So, in all, DS no longer has a staff. Those of us who have resigned will gladly return, once Death?to?all has been removed, at a minimum from the Smod position, but preferably from staff all together. We thank the players who have shown their support to us so far. Ah, Death?to?all has now taken the next step and is banning users for minor infractions. I was banned for speaking in Staff Chat of all places. Now we all get to sit back and watch while Desert Storm is run into the ground by an ignorant 14 year old child.
