Polix, my point is that they are useless in their current state - and they throw up their power whore mongering attitude while real people pay the bills, Case-and-point, SVS. You didnt say you were aiming towards changing their way of acting, but history shows that at one point or another it will happen again - but for the moment, that is good. However, you state that you're adding council members/etc, yet you yourself have said you would not join the council. How do you expect to do anything with no viable option of power other then the respect others have for you? Have your changed your mind as to joining the council? As far as my offers to help you, not only do they still stand - but are also strengthened, I express them to you, along with anyone else trying to help this game, again.

Hello, After a long time of not playing Continuum, I decided to re-install subspace. In this period of time that I've been playing/etc - I've noticed that there is a lot of dead zones on the serverlist, zones that are only crowding it - which might detour people from playing this game all together. If we are going to bring back Continuum, we need to spruce up Continuum. Since we cannot do any adjustments to the actual client, it is important to keep the zones as up to date as possible. If we do not keep the zones up to date, you detour not only new people, but also the old. Case and point: Metal Gear, it seems as though it was basically abandoned, and so the zone died. Your zone will die unless you keep it up to date, and so I am asking you to please, if you are the zone owner, either step down or hire new help. We need to spruce up Continuum, it is very unattractive the way it looks now. We need to completely overhaul the zones. Just the simpliest touches can make things look so much nicer, and give it the fresh clean feeling of 'new'. Zone Hosts: If you have a dead zone, while I am not asking you to kick them, please remove them from the directory. Especially if it is a development zone. Until the zone owner comes back, there is no point in having it on there. It simply crowds up the directory. With Regards, Confess

Hi, How did you find continuum? Was it through an advertisement on TV, through the web, or was it from a friend? Most people will say that they found Continuum because a friend recommended it to them. We have an opportunity to continue to do this, and one way of doing this is simple: By posting on your Myspace, Facebooks, Blogs, Xanga's, etc about Continuum. It can be a simple advertisement, just saying "Hey I play Continuum, its an awesome 2d Space shooter game, someone wanna play me at it? Cool, But I dont think adding anyone to the council, or even the council period, will do anything. They honestly are quite powerless, period. Its a bunch of people getting together saying how they want 'this' done and 'that', but never actually do anything. The council is a lost cause - just like any form of a council on anything non-government related. While I'm not from Missouri, I was born there - Show Me. Show me that this will actually accomplish anything other then the current appearance that the BILLER is run by a bunch of powerless power-whore mongers. Continuum is dieing, a lot - moreso then anyone can fathom. I was there with VIE - I was there when it turned into Subspace, and I was there when Continuum spawned up. I know how the population has fluctuated, and while it is not as bad as when Subspace went pay to play, some may argue that it is getting there. Cool, you're taking an innitiative to purge the council - But money talks, and the council does not have a source of income to improve the game, nor a way of making money. We need players. Players come from advertisements. Advertisements come from Web, TV, Radio, and Friend to friend. Some web advertisements are in place - hasnt helped much if at all. TV advertisements are expensive. Radio advertisments arent that expensive, but who's got the money to pay for it? Friend to friend - has helped keep SS Alive. How can we get an income? Donations, adsense, etc. Would I trust this group with my money? No. If I donated, whats to say my money will not be stolen/etc or used in a fashion which I would not prefer? PROVE YOURSELVES TO ME - You've lost your merit long ago when you decided to let this game rot by not doing a single bit/quitting/etc while people such as myself, testtube, Altec, freakmonger spent hundreds and thousands of dollars on servers/etc to give zones an opportunity to live and thrive.

Sarcasm. From Polix's previous post, one can assume that he's working on transferring the 'council' to zone owners/etc or something, which can be good and bad - but probably moreso, bad.

But so can being caught up in someones ban - We really have no way of knowing the statistics on how many people are caught up in someone elses ban, but if its a lot....we've got a problem.. Honestly, this was just an idea - both sides have equal merit, and there is no practicality in either.

I think I might have mislead some people - I did not mean to give anyone the idea that it takes Priitk months to get a server added, it can be as fast as Priitk replys. When I got my servers added, the first one was added within a week or so. The second was added about 3 weeks, and the third never was added. So, its not like he never replys/does what he is asked, but it does seem to take him quite a bit.

Right, but why not give 'em a shot and beef up security? This will significantly increase population. It causes those moderators to be more active - but have fun while doing it, and it also gives more people 'jobs'. Any server can tell you - increase mods, increase population. Halo, I do believe, used to have a million staff members, and it gave them like 50+ pop in a very short time.

Subspace Continuum is slowly dieing. Some say, its already dead. We need everyone to play to keep it alive. Currently, a lot of people are banned - Both Netbanned, and locally banned in zones. Most of these people have served their bans with patience, and are just waiting to be unbanned. Some people are caught up in other peoples banned, even though it is their first time playing their game. History has shown that when someone that has never played a game before cannot enter a game, they simply leave and delete the game. My proposal, give everyone a second chance. I suggest that we lift all bans, locally and biller wide. In my experience, when you remove all bans - it increases the amount of players in your server (never tried it on Subspace, have on other servers I've owned). Sometimes, it doubles it - or more! I know the downside - what about those REALLY bad people? Well, those 'really bad people' are just a little amount of the problems that we have. And some of those 'really bad people' have changed, or done even remember what they did. Consider it. Confess

So, last time I played - About a year ago - SS had double the popultion, or so it seems >.> What happened?

The problem, Sketter, isnt just the addition of more zones to the SSC Server, it is the lack of updates/etc on the biller itself. As it stands now, anyone with a zone that has population can achieve SSC very very easily. All of these non-ssc zones are dead and therefore have no reason to get SSC. Trust me, I've been on both ends of trying to get population for a zone. Both with SSC and with Non-SSC. I contest that neither work when building a zone up from scratch. It simply must be a good zone, and you must have a LOT of friends, or have a friend with lots of friends. I even got Trench Wars to advertise Super Fortress, and we hit 30-40, but then people left.

Sketter, already been thought of and done. As I said, it simply keeps the "non-ssc" message, which can be fixed. Death+ was the first one to think of the idea/create it (Unless he had someone else make it for him, which is very possible), and then I wanted the same ability to do so, so I asked Dr. Brain to create me a program - this allowed him to give Hyperspace access when SSL was being added to the SSC Biller but Priit took too long. The problem is, it is not for the decision of a host to give another host access to SSC unless someone like Ghost says it is okay to give it to them. Its a moral issue.

On a side note, I do have access to a protocal that allows you to redirect Non-SSC allowed zones to the SSC Biller...It acts as a relay server. I used it for my old server when it was taking forever for Priit to add it. Its a very simply program, and could be advanced upon. In other words, put this program on your server - then, you can add other servers to be allowed to proxy through yours to SSC. Only thing is, it does not pass the SSC encryption, so the not connected to SSC msg appears. I believe Dr. Brain developed it with my help, I dont remember..it was a long time ago.

Those that are athiest always have one definite lining, and that is that they think they can describe the proof of no God through science. In which case, science becomes their God, they have a desire to find out that there is no God through science, and therefore Science becomes their 'church'..There are good 'scientist', and bad 'scientist', those that search for the proof that there is no God, and those that believe what the scientist spit out to them. Truth be told, however, there is no true Athiest..as in order for them to be 100 percent athiest, they would have to prove absolutely without a shadow of a doubt that there is no God. If they cant, they are agnostic. For example, lets say someone says 'All dinosaurs are extinct'. Now, in order for them to know that ALL dinosaurs are extinct, they would have to have someone on each inch of the world looking at the same exact time all saying to each other 'Nope, nothing here'. There are jungles in Africa which are yet to be explored, and it is ever still possible (though, unlikely), that they can be there. Which still brings the question, what if one of those people lied about their being dinosaurs or not?

I'm actually kind of facing the same dilemma, my brother works for sprint and was getting me an employee discount. However, sprint moved all of their employees to ericson..and so now, they are raising my price from $15 to $30. My plan comes with: 500 mins unlimited text unlimited web free roaming Some other crap. I only use like a max of 200 mins per month, so I dont like the fact that they are raising my price double...I'm thinking about getting a Track phone or something.
