Unless something has changed, the directory server stores the Namepassword making it impossible for anyone to use the same Prefix (IE, SST,BlueT, etc) without the same NamePassword. Try it, host a zone called "SSB SubspacePwnz" and a zone with a different name password, "SSB 123" - one will not load (although, there might be a 24 wait for the name password to be stored, i havnt checked...). I have had issues with this in the past, and so I know for a fact that is how it works. Now, since sscuservers.net has been down, and others have taken over, this might necessarily be the case anymore...Since, it is up to the directory server - not the directory client.

Adding 'SSC' is moreso for the populations benefit. It helps some people realize that the zone is on SSC and thus it is 'secure' to connect. Plus, they can talk to their friends/etc.

True. SSCT actually still exist - I told GS that it was available for anyone that needs a host, but it is linux - so ASSS only. SSCB would be good - Or, you can just stick with BlueT. SSCO? SSCZ if you wanna piss off viligante lol.

From an administrators point of view, a universal alias system, the ability to add our own zones without having to get approval/slots (although, on the other hand, this can be a bad thing too), better bang - should be able to add/remove characteristics via flags like the old SSN Biller (ssc currently has something like this, yes, i know).

Recieved them today. They are the wrong prescription for me, it could be because I ordered it wrong...or because they sent the wrong one, either way - they hardly work well. I'm going to call them and straighten it out at some point. It might also be due to my astigmatism?? Lemme know if anyone has details. Thanks!

Um...have you seen the way its shaped? It's shaped like a chicken leg... I usually use taxact.com, last year I used taxact for State tax...I was forced to pay $25 for state filing, then I found out I can file it for free..wasted $25. >.>

No I didnt mean they get worse, I mean they are constantly changing. Thats why you're advised not to get laser surgery till you're like 21-25. This is when the majority of the time, it drastically slows down.

Most doctors recommend a new eye glass prescription every year, especially depending on your age. Younger people's eyes change more rapid than when you reach 21-25ish. But, usually you can just call your doctor and ask for him to give you your prescription again...He also might insist you come in for another evaluation...If money is an issue, you can just insist on getting your prescription, or atleast just as for the numbers. However, dont order from Zennioptical until I get my glasses...then I can tell you if it was a good deal or not. Or else, two people might get fooled instead of just one. Confess

Ya thats frame information. In America, you need to call your Doctor and get your prescription information. They will usually willingly give it out to you. Or, you can call the place where you had your prescription handled - they will usually have a backup copy of it. Make sure they give you Pupillary Distance (PD). They will usually exclude that because they want you to buy glasses from them. Luckily, I got mine right after I bought my pair of glasses that I am currently using, so they had no reason to not give it to me. I'm still waiting on my glasses since it's only been a few days, but hopefully I'll get them soon! Edit: if all else fails, if you still have your old ones, you can actually have the eye doctor measure the glasses to see what your prescription was. (They use it to compare Old/New for you). If you cant this done, an eye care prescription is $39 i believe from Walmart, and $99 for 2 pairs of glasses (single vision, not bi focals or progressive). None the less, $99 vs $12 is a big difference! However, make sure that you have an up-to-date prescription, your eyes are constantly changing - believe me, an up to date prescription drastically helps...even if it is just a little bit different.

Hello, A few weeks ago I lost my glasses, and was trying to find a cheap alternative to going to a store and paying $100-300 for a pair of glasses...searching online, I came across Zennioptical. This site has glasses for as low as $8, including the frame, lenses, and the anti scratch coating. I just placed an order for the glasses. The site says they take Up to 2 Weeks for me to recieve the order. I ordered the 4115 Metal Alloy. My prescription is: . Their site only allows full digits for PD, so it said to either round up or down for PD and it would not matter. I rounded down to 63. My total price came to $12.95. After looking online, people have a lot of good things to say about them - but an equally fair amount of bad complaints, such as recieving the wrong prescription, frame, or not recieving their order at all - customer service seems to have ridiculusly long waits, or never answers calls...but after returning them, they say, they get a VERY nice pair of glasses. Given the price, I figured that even if they just sent me the frame, it would be the value of the cost i spent. I went on youtube and found who says that he lost his glasses too, and went into a glasses store and spent $200 because he needed them for the rest of the day...and then ordered from zennioptical, and recieved virtually the same glasses for $50 - for two pairs. So, here I am...waiting on my ordered - I ordered it Sunday 17,2010 at 3:25 PM Central time...their site says it might even take as little as ten days to recieve the order, so I'm hoping for Monday 28, 2010. My understanding of how they keep the price down is they send them to Hong Kong, where they make it cheaper, then have it sent back to the customer. Anyone else have experience with them? I'll let you know how my experience goes!

The bad news is, I don't know if he'd give it away to anyone (I didnt care to ask, and actually rarely manage to get in contact with him anymore). I'm assuming you're wanting Daily Updates, ie zone news, etc? If this is the case, perhaps hiring several "news gatheres" might be good? Or admins from each zone? I dont know how much time I can put into it, but it would be a fun project for me if you'd like some help. I can help you till you get someone with more time. Confess

Pennywise, I like your efforts. It is people like you that actually help keep the game alive and zones alive - ones that strive for success no matter what people say. This is why Halo lasted as long as it did, for anyone that remembers its history. Chambahs, people have been banned for less then your arrogance/rude unhelpful attitude, I do believe. We're all trying to legitimately discuss plans that will affect the welfare of the game, while you make only comments such as "HAHAA you're stupid" and "HAHAHAHA I HATE YOU!". No offense, but this is very kindergardenish. Anyways, back on the subject - While I wasnt able to read all of these posts, I do agree with a lot of them. One person cannot have the source for a new client, it must be distributed Openly (as in, open source), or atleast have a group of people (such as your council) that develops it + is kind to the public's wishes.

If you are a new player, and you see tons of dead zones on your directory, it will discourage you from playing as it appears as though the game itself is dead. However, my concern is moreso for those with zones that are lacking to do updates or changes. Ones that have basically let the zone run its course, or where the owner has abandoned the zone and left it up to the sysops/staff to manage while he is no where to be found. Confess

Thats not sarcasm, we need zone owners to step up and make changes to their zones...And zone hosts need to make sure their zone owners are keeping up with their zone.
