I wouldn't see a problem with expiring all the bans, I mean I had fun placing some of them in the first place. Really if you think about it, all those hackers will be dumb enough to step in TW, EG, or CZ anyway, and all of those zones normally have at least 1 active staffer around with ban powers, or know who to contact to get a netban placed.

Chaos has a working Alpha sub-arena up. Per Bargeld's request all settings will remain the same. At a future date, when Chaos finally gets on AS3, we will separate it out into it's own zone again. -Sneakerz

As jabjabjab and Polix know, I am more then happy to issue netbans for other zones, and so long as someone gives me the IP of the person, I can do so. Only time it's an issue is when I get asked to issue a ban, and no one can give me an IP. I intentionally gave Polix bang in Chaos so he could place local bans when I wasn't available, i.e. the last time Russ was on Polix gave him a ban, and I changed it to a netban.

What BG, are you saying the nightwasp sucks? All kidding aside, I am personally on the fence. I'd love to see some advertisement for SS, but at what cost to the community. For those of you saying "power hungry" mods run SS, what you fail to realize, is those same "power hungry" mods are the ones that are constantly monitoring the zones they are in, are constantly updating settings/maps/etc, and are doing it because they enjoy it, not because they are getting paid to do it. So, if a corp took control of subspace, what would change? Well, unless they left the current staff in place, (and mind you, I would still be willing to do what I currently do with no pay) you would end up with people that don't understand the finer points of setting, maps, etc. You would also end up with staff that worked for a company, who have no real care for the players. I mean, let's be realistic here, have you ever met a GM that wasn't just doing their job? Anyway, I suppose I agree with BG. SS failed under VIE, why would that change under rapidshare?

Well, after a heated fight, there was no winner for the August MoC. After discussion with the other donator it was decided to make the September MoC worth $200..... soo, feel free to show up at 7PM EST September 6th to try to win it.

Ok, just because I really want to see how many pilots I can pack into this event. Chaos zone's long standing "only one" competition, Master of Chaos has a $100 dollar prize attached too it for August. Official Advert - Master Of Chaos event. 6th September 7PM EST held in ?Go MoC ($100 US to the winner) and to avoid confusion later, and give everyone plenty of time to know the rules... The match is divided into rounds, each with a time limit. Type ?time to see the time left in a round. You must get at least one kill each round in order to advance to the next one. There is no pause between rounds, but everyone will be prized shields, while those without a kill are eliminated (specced) from the competition. If you die, you are eliminated. If you lag out or are specced, you are eliminated. Ships spawn with maximum toys and ship settings at the start of the match. When the match starts the arena will be unlocked and you will have 30 seconds, to jump in a ship before the arena is locked again. Begin killing immediately! The last round is defined by last man standing or when the arena is down to 2 or 3 players. When the arena is in this situation and no kills are made within 10 minutes then all the players are burned of toys and play for 5 more minutes. If STILL no kill is made at the end of 5 minutes then there is NO Master of Chaos for that month. - Sneakerz

heh, funny thing Samapico, that was something that one of our old bot devs was working on for me...... the sprint bot is like a seriously dumbed down version of even the most basic racing bot but yes, it was supposed to track laps, times, best time, etc

Just because I like to be difficult and point out errors.... DZ-Info-Bot also is our alias bot (yea, I know there is an alias plugin) but the bot also uploads the alias data to a website. Chaos-Bot does not handle BanG it handles what is called BanC, BanC is our internal banning, it handles longterm shutup locks, speclocks, and tracks all ban info. As for the KoTH part of the bot, I am already discussing something with TJ about KoTH, which means his KoTH would have to be integrated, not the standard KoTH Sprint-Bot is a poor example of a race bot, I do however have the src for a good racebot, which would need some adjustments to work in a public arena, as it is designed for a private arena. Technically sprint bot isn't used because I can't stand it. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. -Sneakerz

I'm not really going to argue any of this, I'm just going to point one or two things out.... 1) The maps are nothing alike 2) Your bot hosts Turretwars??? 3) DZ is a zone within Chaos, which is owned by Underlord, which, if I am not mistaken, by your own arguement, would mean any dueling arena is actually being stolen from him. (DZ merged into Chaos, just to clarify that) 4) I believe UL also brought up concerns about your bots looking like copies of his bots.... That being said, I'm not really on either side in this, aside from being a CZ Sysop, and having my zone slandered - Sneakerz

This is the funniest thing I have read in awhile. I really can't understand why people are complaining about this. I'll just make it really really really simple for you TRP.... If you don't like to play flag games then DON'T! Is it being forced upon you to play? Nope. Can you still be a turret gunner? Yes. Can you still minerep? Yes. Can you still whine like a little girl? Seems so Have any settings been changed that effect chaos gameplay? Nope. Can you go to another zone and quit whining about a zone you claim you can't stand? Please do
