I'm speaking in general, but people that ask to be mod do not usually get the job. In my experiences, players that were "friends" with moderators have a better chance of obtaining a staff position. This method makes more sence anyway, you hire the people that you know and ignore the requests of people that have not proven themselves. The staff applications are tools that allow the mods to notice a player; it is that player's responcibility to donate thier time to the zone and prove that they are competant and loyal. Try doing dev work or helping new players, i believe that hyperspace already has a large dev team so what they truely need is players. Help new player and they will stay in the zone, talk to staff members and interact with vets, consistantly play in hyperspace, donate your time to events or projects that you are capable of helping with, and dont keep asking for a staff position.

Did anyone else notice that Brain was talking to himself in those pictures? And while I'm on the topic of hyperspace...Although the zone is very well done and fun, the no-cussing rule is just re-*BAD WORD*-ed. When i entered Hyperspace, I didn't expect to be regulated by the FCC and they certainly I didn't think that I was in church; but to my surprise I found myself in a Micheal Powell candy land of censorship. I can understand preventing racism and/or using the ?obscene filter but fineing people for cursing is hilarious. You'll find me in hyperspace a lot more if this censorship trend continues, ill be building up a large capital so that Hyperspace can have a cussing day: where Ill pay back everyone for any fines they receive.

The Bot that he wants has been done before, by Vampz. Stealing other zone's ideas is not a good idea if your goal is to get SSC. Talk to vampz and he might loan you the bot, Hockey Zone is done with it and I hear its going to Metal Gear now. Its an excellent bot and I promiss you that anything that you create will be 2nd rate compared to what Vampz pulled off.

If its AI, the answer is no. Other than that i cant think of anything that would be so huge that multiple bot coders would be needed. They aren't exactly paid to make bots and I usually only do bots for people who I either like or I think that they have done an excellent job on their zone. There are at max 10 bot coders that are good and most of them have zones that they put all their work into. I wouldn't recommend anyone to you that isn't highly active on these forums. What zone are you representing?

Explody's lag bot is very nice. But if you are going to be starting off on a zone i strongly discourage use of one. New players dont understand the concept of lag and lagbots can make mistakes when the server starts lagging and everyone's lag jumps through the roof. This happened in MG about a week ago, everyone in the zone was spec'd in a matter of minutes and the newbies were going crazy thinking that someone hacked the server. Zone owners seem to think that a bot is needed to make their zone complete, I suggest minimal bots and only use what you truly need. Don't get carried away with features.

Well i was surfing one day when i needed to change tracks on my media player. I went alt-tab and noticed that my rotation was completely fuxored when i came back into the game. Apparently continuum jacks up my beautiful balance when i go alt-tab. I'm not sure if anyone else has reported on this and i probably should have checked but I though that it was worth mentioning again. so you tell the bot !noattach -a 50% Packetloss and it will add me to your list and i wont be able to attach to you. or you could disable it for all attaches with !nottach -b=on the purpose for the bot is to give the players a little control over innoying attaches. Sometimes people just drive me nuts when they wont stop attaching, so this makes it easier to control the matter. Also if you are center killing, you might not want anyone to attach to you -l stands for list -a stands for add -r stands for remove -b stands for block -c stands for clear

nah, never made a scoreboard plugin other than for 17th's scoreboard in main and one for Desert Storm when it was on SSC for thier league that never happened. here is the league bot i made for Desert Storm, It would only be helpful to someone who knew how to program, lvz obj numbers need to be changed and such.
