that's the funny thing about very liberal thinking, it ends up being more close-minded than conservatives could ever be.

I like the occasional drink, but that's very rare. For the most part I just don't feel the need to drink other than taste and I find very few alcoholic drinks tasty.

simply thinking something is wrong, is not the definition of being a bigot. To be a bigot, you have to condemn them in some way. I think that homosexuality is wrong, just like I think that swearing is crude and unnecessary, but I don't condemn people for choosing to swear and yell at them. Therefore, even though i think that the Bible says that homosexuality is wrong, it does not make my interpretation bigoted. In any event, your hatred towards christianity is misdirected, because true christians do not condemn so harshly and to such an extreme that they bring out feelings of anger, and hatred, and segregation. So many people blame christianity for so many negative things, but you are the one being derogative and bigoted towards us. You seem to hate christians, that is what you believe. You have the right to believe that, and be bigoted towards us. So why can you not let us believe what we believe? How many christians have actually walked up to you and called you a 'piece of !@#$%^&*'?

amazingly, I agree with sever too, I think I need to take a long life-evaluating walk now, lol.
-
holy !@#$%^&*...the others are screwed, glad i'm not american, or I'd have to vote for him. Anyone who doesn't vote for him is going to end up dead somewhere and the coroner is going to deem them all "Death by roundhouse kick"

I agree with you emo girl, cuz i'm not a part of a religion, I just possess personal beliefs. and yes, most men these days do suck.
-
lol no, was gonna prove a point, but I guess I'll just do it the normal way. You took those three verses and interpreted them in your own way, despite them saying that men should love their wives, you spun it to be how some chauvinists might see it. And that is my point, it is the person who is at fault who interprets it wrong and ignores the other teachings stating that we should love our wives. It is the person who is sexist who wishes to see it in that way, not God. and the 'church' is not an object. A church is a group of people, a church building is where they meet. That is why it refers to the church as 'her' not 'it'

iPods have not been designed to last more than 3-4 years because that is how Apple is making them, purposefully, so that you have to buy a new one every 3-4 years.

What I would like to say about this is why we can't just embrace each other's holiday. If someone says 'merry christmas' to you, why can't someone just say 'happy Hanukkah' back? Instead of taking offense and having a tantrum. We are too easily offended these days, because we are constantly looking to other people's faults. Even if you don't believe in Christmas, what is so !@#$%^&* wrong with telling someone who does believe in it, to have a merry time of what they believe in.

yea, I used to love the powerball, in fact, sometimes making a team to control the powerball was more profitable than flagging by far. I remember being on a time, some people would defend the goal killing anyone who came in, someone would go grab the powerball and score for money. If your team was only like 5 people, that's 2k each time you scored, and doing that like twenty times could be quite profitable. That was a long time ago, used to go by the name 'The WeatherMan' back then.

!@#$%^&*!@#$%^&*in's creed is amazing, lol I love the conspicuous killing. Or being ridiculously obvious and running away from guards and then just killing more guards as you run past them.

please state which book those verses come from so i can look it up my self with different translations
-
Sever, God isn't sexist, if you had even glanced at the verses in the quote below, you'd know that.
-
2pac, if you think that women being beaten is fine in any country then you need to be punched in the face.
-
sever, you always disregard other aspects. The verses in the bible directly following the ones telling women to be submissive say that men MUST treat women with respect and honor them as children of God. It doesn't say, "You can show them respect if you want." It is a command, not a suggestion. Ephesians 5 25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church those are only two of many verses in the bible telling men to love and respect their wives. Colossians 3 18Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. I think beating would count as being 'harsh'
-
I don't think it's that much of a problem. I wouldn't really call it rushing as much as meat shielding.
-
haha, no sever, they are never disobedient, just saying that they are disobedient makes it sound like they just refused to cook dinner. In the bible the women are usually pros!@#$%^&*utes, or women who have had affairs with other men. And stoning was something in the Old testament that had more to do with Hebrew culture, and has nothing to do with Christianity. This is shown when Jesus defends Mary from being stoned by a bunch of pharisees. and you also chose to make another generalization, just because some 'christian' websites are bigotive swill, doesn't mean that they all are.

I don't agree with any of the things that guy said in that video. Religious or otherwise, men have no right to beat their wives in any way. Mind you, he could still just be a radical. Though he does mention that it says that in the qua ran(sp? I have no clue how to spell it, lol), I would have to see a direct quote from it to still think that it actually says to beat your wife.

correction, iPod pwns you, because it has successfully tricked you into thinking it's the best product in the market.

C.S. Lewis was a highly regarded Christian philosopher. He wrote many books on the nature of Christianity and he also wrote The Chronicles of Narnia. He was a genius in my opinion, you have to know much about Christianity to actually find the Christian connotations in the books. His symbolism and representation are very insightful. Considering the above reaction, I assume few of you know that Lord of the Rings, also has Christian connotations. J.R.R. Tolkien was a Christian, and though he did not mean to, his beliefs came out in his writing. They are there, just need to find them.

I'm a christian, honestly I don't mind. If Christians have the right to have movies about what they believe, then so should athieists, muslims, etc. Now, I won't be watching the movie, cuz giving my money to something that insults my faith isn't really logical. It would be stupid to sit down for an hour and a half and be blasted with how what I believe is wrong(which is why I might just watch it on the internet for free ). In the same way, the church shouldn't be telling people what to do, it has a bad habit of doing so. Keep in mind, not all Christians are bigots and close-minded "F*#&ing hypocrites"
-
it would be way to easy for people to lame that and have 10,000 bty and then just hide in the safe.
-
both sound appealing to me, simply because op2 thought of tacnukes on a wb. But Sharpflame's idea is good too, also more logical and possibly more fun.

lol said I wouldn't post again, but I just had to pose a friendly argument, aka i'm just pointing something out that I have learned, don't yell at me and go on hating me. A lot of christians use Sodom and Gomorrah as an argument against homosexuality, by saying that God destroyed those two cities for being gay. However, some people like myself (i.e. non bigots, but are also christians), say that some information on Sodom and Gomorrah shows that they weren't just largely homosexual, but they were an incredibly selfish economy, they were extremely rich, but refused to help the struggling towns nearby aka much like america's economy right now, the rich stay rich, the poor stay poor. So that is another reason why God destroyed those two cities. Note: this is only something that has been passed on to me, I have no way of knowing if it's true, and I'm not stating it as fact. Just throwing it out there as something to think about. Christians are often foolish in there pursuits of forcing beliefs on people, which never works, as history has shown.
