Wow something happened in with subspace, this is material for the subspace wikipedia page.

So when Aphelion and Phoenix gets released, both clients will consume a part of the current Continuum population (depending on how popular they become). Could the release of these clients actually do more harm than good to our community by splitting it into 3 groups?

The folders name should be "Banners" Continuum -> Banners Save it as a bmp in that folder

I think this game has some potential. Compared to most other 2d space shooters around, It's actually having some subspace-like characteristics. Might be worth following it's development (too): Talked to him a bit, he never heard about subspace before, heh. Good thing to hear was that keys are going to be fully customizable. We the people are getting old and have jobs now. How many people would we need to invest 5k each so we have enough budget to clone SS (or buy the rights?) and improve/update the game... Then maybe create a Gold-membership to make it a bit profitable (a few bucks each month / or buy stuff loose: for an extra ship, toys, bigger banner, whatever -> only bling bling extras). Don't care if I earn my money back in 5 or more years, must play SS untill I die anyways.

Samgunn please why don't you get your own forum and post there? Register a website too. Call it Chaos '98 Zone - The Place to Be! If theres anything SVS needs now, its not this at all. However setting up a rival clone of our zone, somewhere grey down the server list, with 2 people (have a bot?), will fail anyways. But have fun with this project, I hope you put alot of effort in this. At the end the original settings were designed for 100+ population at peak times. The tweaks with the settings were and are needed to compensate the low population we have these days.

Was there no limit to reps then? The repping in that video was nuts. It was recorded for over a few hours, took the most exciting parts out of it

Q: Priitk's Continuum, did he develop a clone of subspace from scratch?

We can change whatever settings we want but at the end Trench Wars is the place all new players go to. We dont have influx. Trench Wars is "representing" (being #1 with population) our Subspace for many years, while it totally blows

It works with hardware acceleration turned on? I've tried new drivers several times but it doesnt seem to work.. Where did you get these drivers from? I've got: Driver date: 21-6-2004 Driver version: 5.10.0.5620

When I do start > run > dxdiag > sounds > turn its hardware acceleration off, it fixes the sound from not disappearing totally, but it does sound a bit crappy then(delay).. To me it only happens to my blue bullets, after like 5 or 10 mins.. frustrating. Also got a onboard ac97.

I've got the same problem with my realtek ac97, just bought a new computer and since then each time I log in the sound of my blue bullets dissapear. It dissapears after like 5 mins of playing.. And it only happens to the L3 bullets, rest of the sounds seem fine and keeps working as it should. Tried everything: drivers, no IRQ conflicts, re-installed SS Tipme if you happen to read this: did you solve this? if so; how? Maybe someone else got a tip?

But its happening, no lies, they cant seem to figure they have to go to their Cont folder to run .39 (and replace their .38 desktop icon to .39) Ak -'..and?' - Before the prox bug most SVS zones were on peoples Cont (.37 and the first weeks/months of .38) server list, now its isn't anymore.. (red or gone), as a newbie myself I guess I wouldn't have refreshed my server list within the first year playing.. At some point u wanna try something else than the home-zone ur playing(as a newbie).. They now goto TW,DSB, EG, MG, etc (whatever the highly populated zones are) instead of Chaos for example, they dont see it on their list.. So its doing harm But there's going to be a .39 release sooner or later.. I shouldn't whine. But SVS is dying more day by day, there's no newbie influx.. I'd like to see the .39 release soon!

Morning, Splitting the game up with different versions (zone.bak?) downloadable at different sites sucks a bit imo...Why wouldnt Priitk take revenge by editing the zone.bak with the next version to highly populated non-SVS zones only? Nah he woudln't but he does have the right, SVS did it too. There should be one Continuum version to download everwhere(not just on one site for SVS..) Also, I went to EG + DSB few weeks back and asked ppl if they knew about Chaos, Alpha, WZ, Pro, etc.. Either the zones were red or its never been on their list.. I think most of the current SS population don't even know about SVS ones.. And even if they do they dont feel like getting the pre-client somewhere. Before the prox bug SVS had a steady newbie influx as far as I remember.. Oh well..

Lo, Thing is.. When people download Cont.38 they don't see any SVS zone on their server list (Most SVS zones use another Continuum version - .39-pre). They'll have to click on "Zones" before finding it <- would you do that as a newbie in the first 3 months? I wouldn't, seeing alot of other highly populated zones in my list, I'd try out those first. And even when a newbie happens to click on 'download server list' and some zone asks u to download .39 from some website before being able to play it <- would you do that as a newbie, or even as a 2 year old TW, EG or DSB "vet"? Nope.. And even when they DO download .39-pre, % of them don't even know how to use the 39.exe (ok, stupidity, but true) after the install and give up, it's a fact - read forums everywhere. SVS have had zero newbie influx since the PPB (PriitK Prox Bug), there are only some old bored vets left populating the SVS zones. Its "ALMOST" death now <- Only rescue would be a .39 release soon.. I can't play the game I used to be addicted to so much, but maybe its better for my future. Anyways, my -*BAD WORD*- hurts much because of this matter, I demand a next Continuum version to solve this! (frustrated)

To be honest, I hope -*BAD WORD*- will happen, our destiny as human being is to explore space and find/create places to live in. With the current world population and their politics its impossible, the world needs a c: format, get rid of the trash so it will run smoother in future. =P Except, ofcourse, the nuclear winter following eliminates all life on earth. =/ Imagine we are really the first ever life in the universe.. and after we nuked each other to death the process of life/evolution won't happen on some other planet again. That would be one -*BAD WORD*- of a shame! (sry for my spelling, beers and not a english native speaker) =)
