  1. I need a tileset. Wishes: - colors: grey with red (normal/dark) - style: bit like what they have in eg now - walls: 1-2 tiles thick Color is a must, different style I can live with . Thanks in advance.

    Would be nice to have a point system, might encourage members with low points to do a bit more than normal to catch up. But I dont think it can be done, since not every request requires the same amount of work, so you need to make a sort of grading system. Who decides how much points someone should get? And what if multiple people work on it?
  7. I did mean zone IP/port. But I checked again just now, and now they are in the download list. So I guess I looked when SSM was down yesterday.

  10. When I'm making maps, I always have trouble making nice circles. Could you add a tool where you set the center of a circle first and then define the radius? Would make it a lot easier for me to make circles (bit quicker too).

    Finished! I filled all the rooms with themes like library, dinner room, bedroom, sleeping quarters, storage etc. Red sections in walls are secret passageways. The weird things outside are trees . If you dont like stuff, DCME has a nice eraser tool . Have fun with it.sass1.lvl

    You could also make the fly-under tiles look exactly the same as the normal wall tiles. That way you'd have ez secret passages with anyone seeing them. Or you could make a shroud covering the player so only a small circle is visible, like in enigma events. And I'll implenent your suggestions.

    I have the map set up now, and I was wondering if you like where I'm going. Basically it's a castle/fortress with lots of hallways and rooms and a bit of outside. Ill make some "windows" (read: 2 tile wide holes) where people can climb out of. It has 4 spawn points and to me it looks like a very nice map for LVZs (benches, closets etc) and a bricklike tileset. Possible themes would be medievil (knights and bows and arrows and stuff like that) or WW2 (Nazi fortress under Allied attack or Allied SAS infiltration, you can fill the entire map with swastika LVZ then too ) or some modern SEAL infiltration on terrorists or w.e. So comments please, input is important for a good map. [attachment removed, posted new map couple of posts down]

    I'll give it a try. Few questions: - How big should a room be? Should they be huge and empty, or filled with obstacles and doors, or do you prefer small rooms, like hallway size? - What will the map be used for? Killing, balling, ctf? - How many teams? (number of spawnpoints)
  15. You might wanna find another system (friend, family or w.e) so you can try out every part individually to check if it still works. You didn't leave a screw laying on the motherboard while turning it on I hope? Because that might have caused a short-circuit.
  16. If you have the demo, you can also play NOD in skirmish by holding down N while selecting NOD from the dropdownmenu.
  17. Started playing as Lord of !@#$%^&* in 17th parallel somewhere in 2003. Switched to Yavaris in august 03, and went to Redstar when 17th got a bit empty. Yavaris: Total Usage: 2919 hours 4 minutes First played: 8-24-2003 9:28:9
  18. IE7 adds a black border (red square) and on both ie and ff, when you size down you browser width to almost the same width as the site, the banner "slides" off the main body (red circles).   20. Ok, it worked yesterday, then this morning I had the Runtime error on startup, so I went back to 3.1.0. Just tried 3.1.2 again and now it works again. Wacky software...

  22. - When you go to "Open..." and then press "Cancel", you get an error: "0:" - If you have a big map with lots of tiles, and you zoom out completely, and you press crtl+A, you get an error and DCME dies. Error: " Runtime error '9': Subscript out of range " Could you get DCME to save all maps when it crashes? Lost several bases to it now .
  23. System mechanic = lethal to continuum. Practically all registry cleanup programs make cont crash on startup. But for some reason if you cleanup your reg while playing cont, it'll still work afterwards. I had the same problem as you. (only continuum.exe in task manager and no startup) Only problem for you is I can't remember how I fixed the problem. I think I deinstalled cont, ran a reg cleanup, deinstalled the reg cleaner, rebooted and reinstalled cont. You might wanna try that, but I'm not sure if it'll work.
