This is my opinion but I'm an oddity. Shredders are actually pretty weak, most people who use them just spam all their energy away and then they're dead with a few shots. I hate the flechette alot more as it takes less energy then a pulse to fire, so in an open space dog fight a pulse laser user is at a slight disadvantage, add in a multifire and you've got an enemy who can just stray you to death. I don't think there are really any overpowered weapons, it's very hard to achieve perfect balance so some might have a slighter advantage as others but factor in the skill of the user and that will affect how much trouble you'll have with them. I.E. A noob with a shredder will just get himself killed. The beam array is one of those slightly advantaged weapons but not by much, just overwhelm them with offense and you'll be fine... But what do I know I'm a newb If you have excellent aim I recommend using a pulse over a beam, you'll get more bang for your buck. A beam vs a pulse where both sides trade equal hits will often result in the Beam Array losing.

Well I saw a warbird using tactical nukes just the other day... So I don't think this issue is over but it doesn't matter, I'm sure the staff understand what is too lame and what is appropriete, not like you see someone with 3 Siege Packs or a cloaking Warbird with a shredder...

I can't say the staff don't have a tactical advantage, but from my point of view it doesn't make a difference as I am most likely to get shot down in a confrontation with a staff member anyways...
