The Hobbit is being shot at 48 fps. It will be interesting to see how different it is.

That is a common misconception. The eye/brain doesn't work like that. Film is in 24 fps because it is barely enough to not make the video seem jerky. You want 60 fps, assuming you have a 60 Hz monitor. Anything more than 60 fps will be doing nothing except screen tearing.

Can something be done about fields? The zone is borderline unplayable right now. I haven't been playing a whole lot of basing lately, but the few games that I have played were just field spam. Every push and every clear was done with a field. I wish I was exaggerating. Even if it is something temporary.

Zone needs recycled. The player data isn't loading.

Regardless, the nerf still pales in comparison to the other nerfs. Minus one rep and reduced burst damage from all the items with burst damage reduction. Lanc rush nerf. The item is strong in basing, and in center now too because of the item that improves it.

1. PD nerfed in some way. All of the other rushing builds have been nerfed, but this one has improved. It is ridiculously op at the moment. 2. The doubled money/exp needs to be changed back if the itemset isn't close to being done. 3. Field cooldown and price change 4. Rule clarity (hopping), staff involvement with flag games, hire one or two more jrmods 5. Jackpot overhaul. Reduce the end jackpot and introduce dynamic flag ticks. Start the flag ticks out high to get people to start a flag game, then have them drop over time until it is more profitable to win the flag game. 6. Reduce the amount of burst protection on items. Pretty hilarious how low burst damage can get with just one or two items.

Looks like the server ip changed without the DNS being updated. You can get to the 'site' with some hosts trickery, but it just shows a mysql error.

AVG replied and the latest database update does not detect it as a virus anymore.

This is the same as http://www.subspace.co/topic/26357-virus/ except with the installer. False positive.

I emailed AVG about it, but I don't know if anything will happen.

It is a false positive. Add your Continuum path to the exceptions list for a temporary fix if you get an error when opening Continuum. AVG - Tools -> Advanced Settings -> Anti-Virus -> Resident-Shield -> Exceptions

It does, but the itemlists are loaded into the arena data from callbacks in hscore_database.c when arena action AA_CREATE is triggered. It isn't enough time for the callbacks to return. I compiled hscore_database.c and switched AA_CREATE to AA_PRECREATE to load them early and it worked, but I think that would still be a rush case.
-
It happens because it checks for the item in the itemlist before they are loaded from the database callbacks, I believe. getItemByName returns None when the modules are first loaded, but if you manually unload and load hs_lancs then it doesn't.

Thanks for everything you did. It sucks to see you step down.

changeset 705e713832da should be fine, but 77eb39e2e4c9 was probably the last recompile.

The zone is up, but is frequently crashing. I believe the cause is hscore_database.c if hscore was recently recompiled. The zone crashes because of the locks in the loadPlayerGlobalsQueryCallback when a player enters who isn't already in the database.

You should cut back on using the word epic.
