Yes yes, I've been on vacation this week, and will be off and on for the next couple of weeks. Anyway, we will be keeping stats on how people do in the duel tourney series, and then have a lvz or periodic message for the top record, most wins, etc.. Anyway, for last weeks DT (July 30).. The result was that we ended up having two happy hours.. one from about 5:30-7pm (est) where we had up to a 9v10 game and at least 7v7 for about 45 minutes. We then played a big rumble and two games of sblball. We kept above 22 population in the zone from 5-12:30, and during the real peak hour, 9-11, we had a 10v10 going in pub, and then hosted events such as sblball, pbwar, rumble, javwar, dodgeball, sbl, and a few others. Screenshots will be available later this evening.

Yep Luco, that's what we are planning on. If possible, we would like you to mention this to any friends or other players in zones that could stand to lose a few players during the evening (you know the ones), just during a nice, casual conversation. I would like to see 40+ in 17th for the first time since... 10th anniversary jwl event was held. Let's try to do it tonight! (I plan on having a 2$ rumble draft night)

Got a couple screenshots from tonights happy hour. We plan on having several pub games during happy hour (9pm - roughly 12 am) and then a main event for the evening. Whether it be 2$ rumble drafts, or 75 cent high(sbl)ball, there will be something going on during this time. Also, don't forget the duel tournament on Sunday at 8pm. Be there slightly early (not sure where it's gonna be held yet.. in dt or in ?go duel). ( Unfortunately my computer isn't cooperating, so I will just let snoo post some for me) Enjoy!

I agree (with Delic). Even if our current staff sucks, at least we are getting the zone playable again and trying to get some nightly events and a duel tournament rollin'. Hopefully we can update some things to help out the zone, and maybe create some new events to do after we've played a couple games of pub to keep things interesting.

That's cool, I'm gonna make sure there is a periodic message in 17th for forums if there isn't one already (which there may already be). Cuz we don't have near the amount of people reading and posting on here as we used to. Anyway.. I'll probably set up the TS server later this evening, and i'll ask lisa. about the ventrilo server.

Most people remember the times when we used a teamspeak server for 17th parallel. I know lisa has access to ventrilo for a server, and I have a TS server we could use, and I was curious if anyone would be interested in getting a designated mic chat again for 17th. Come on.. you know you want to talk trash "in person" instead of hiding behind your computer.. Let me know what ya think.

As we have just reorganized staff, and apparently people are interested in the zone and events again, we have decided to put on a weekly duel tournament series. The zone has dwindled to absolutely nothing in the past weeks, and it's hard to try to advertise for a zone that the staff doesn't give a !@#$%^&* about. I did what I could to get lots of pub games going with help from some Trench War and DSB friends, but it's just not enough for a zone people feel is synonomous wth death, !@#$%^&*, destruction and the like.. So I appreciate being able to work for the zone off and on over the past several years, and for all of you who helped make my experience (mainly earlier experience) with the zone a good one.. I wouldn't still be on here now if I didn't enjoy it back in 2001 or 2002.
