Usualy a programmers reasons for not realeasing the source code have very little to do with worrying that people will steal it, and much more to do with the worry that people will laugh at it Trust me, i know ^^.

Youd basicly have to make a hole new game. The protocol is designed such that cheating would be utterly trivial if modifications can be made to the client. Ill just stop with, it aint never gonna happen, instead of re-hashing for the 100000000000 time this very topic ^^.

Irreal Studios - Looking for Recruits

.... lol -
If they release Fallblivion, I'll start a fundraiser to purchase a !@#$%^&*in Nuclear Bomb so that I can show them personaly how it _should_ have looked ^^.

If your still having protocol issues and your project happens to be in C++ feel free to PM me. Ive written quite a few UDP protocols from scratch in C++.

Its realy too bad too, cause this tech demo is practicly 20% of the entire game done. Black Isle put alot of work into it and Interplay just pulled the rug out from under them. Also Bethesda is making some kind of major FO3 anouncement in 30~ some odd days. They also have a forum for FO3 setup finaly. Although the only things on it are FO fans !@#$%^&*ing at Bethesda not to !@#$%^&* it up . No official replys yet ^^.

You know... You _could_ just rename the movie files, instead of deleting them...

Only if you dont visit www.gamecopyworld.com ^^ Also the nice people that released Supreme Commander totaly removed thier copy protection in one of thier very first patches.

At a certain point, one must relize that a debate with a particular individual is pointless. As they are no longer working with facts or knowledge, but with predisposed ideas that they will not let go of, despite overwelming opposition. I would like to say that one day you will realize this mistake and begin to actualy open your mind. But unfortunatly the large majority of individuals afflicted with this problem never get any better. But still, as Ive said before thier are no absolutes, so thiers yet hope for you ^^. Good luck, youll need it.

You are only showing your ignorence... Age only tells you how many years a person has had on this earth to absorb knowledge and wisdom, it in NO way tells you how much of that knowledge and wisdom said person has actualy takin in. You yourself, are infact a perfect example of this. You claim to be almost 19 years old, yet you are still showing the mental mechinations of one much younger. Open your eyes and stop being so naive. EDIT: Teach me to start quoting what im replying to.... this was in response to LOSA

I think he was kidding, any sane individual would know that once a child reaches a certain point the word "No" translates into "Only when im not looking" ^^

The only sure way to deal with it, is to take it on a case by case basis. If my 14 yo daughter came home with a 17 yo boy, I cant say at all what id think ahead of time. It would entirly depend on my impresion of my daugthters level of maturity and that of the boy she brought home. Age may be a generalizing factor you can use to take a wild stab at the most likely outcome, but in any case were other factors can be used, they should be, becuase age (as a factor for determining inteligence, maturity and in fact almost anyting) is very useless.

Such massive generalization and stereotyping. Almost to the point of prejudice. Very sad... You should learn to open your mind, thier is only a single absolute in the entire universe, and that is that thier are no absolutes. (This is called a self solving paradox, which is why the phrase is not simplly "Thier are no absolutes"). Thier are many situations where a "most likely case" can be observed. Such questions as "Should I drop a pencil at sea level on earth, which direction will it fall?" Has an answer that is generaly accepted as certain, it will fall "down". But even such a thing which so many take forgranted as always true is not an absolute. Quantum Mechanics provides for several possibilities where said pencil could do any number of unpredictable things. I digress however. The point is, judging a book by its cover and making such broad generalizations will only make you look close minded and uneducated. As Morpheus said "Free your mind...".

In essence both groups are likely right. I say likely though, because its actualy still in debate what form light actualy takes. The fact that it can be observed to have propertys of both a wave or a particle depends entirly upon which effect you are activly looking for. This of course touches on quantum theory, namely that by observing any element in the universe you actualy change that element. In other words its impossible to observe something without interfering with it and thus contaminating your results by some small degree. This is the principle that quantum encryption relys on. And one of the things String Theory attempts to explain. It may turn out that in its natural state light is a wave and only reverts to a particle when being observed for particle like characteristics. What it basicly came down to is that if we realy want an answer to that question we needed to quantify the effects that observation has on an object in the universe, and thats where String Theory comes in, or at least one of the many places it comes in. If they can ever stop making rookie mistakes in unit conversions with the CERN collider, we might have a chance of unearthing some of these mysterys ^^.

I prefer Quantum Entanglement personaly ^^. In particular the possibility that it will allow instananious communication between any two points regardless of distance, or possibly even time travel ^^. String Theory is more about math than about practical application, its about unifying physics with quantum physics. Both observable, both verifyable, but they tend to disprove one another if compared using any of our current rules. Very interesting indeed ^^.

You cant judge just based on numbers. Just cause shes 14 and hes 17 doesnt mean thiers necisarily any great differnce in thier maturitys. Ive met plenty of 14yo's with more maturity than some 30yo's. Of course that isnt very prevelent, but it does exist. Me and my fiance are 3 years appart, she was 17 when I met her, i was 20. Well technicly we started talking when she was 16, but thats besides the point. Anyway, dont be so judgemental ^^. Of course, its possible that hes just a perverted slime ball but you dont know ^^ so dont judge

SupCom is cool, played that for awhile, but honestly, I think I like CNC3 better. Its realy hard to turtle or even get into the late game with SupCom, cause of the nukes and long range artilery (wtf is up with the Mavor, that thing is a game ender). Anyway, they just released the map editor for cnc3, and although it totaly sucks !@#$%^&*, im sure a few brave souls will put up with its bugy resource hogging ways and make a map or two for cnc3 and mabye once EA releases a patch that fixes the map transfer bugs, itll be worth playing online Oh ya, get a new video card!!! You can freakin get a 7xxx series card for as little as 99$!! thats DX9c compliant!! for like 150$ you can get one of the JUST released low end 8xxx series that are DX10 compliant! Go mow some lawns or something

Yup, bug confirmed with latest version of SubChat (0.19) its on my list of bugs to fix. A fairly longish list I might add. All current RL issues considered, it could be a few before I have a chance to fix them all ^^. But you know what the doc usualy says "Doc.. It hurts when I do this..." "Well.... Dont do that!"

8 hours of instruction on .NET _and_ C++ isnt even enough to make you dangerous ^^.. But honestly, your best bet is to teach yourself, if you cant find the motivation for that, then you probably dont have the dedication to be a good coder. Books are your best friend, mostly refrence books, but thier are some instructional books as well. Stear clear of Teach Yourself ANYTHING in X number of Days. Thier are some realy good web resources for learning C++ that I know of. http://winprog.org/tutorial/ http://www.parashift.com/c++-faq-lite/ http://www.catch22.net/tuts/ Mabye those will be helpfull to you. Also EFnet and freenode IRC servers have some good chanels for intelligent questions (dont ask stupid questions or youll be ridiculed ) Google and MSDN will be your best friends. Also id recomend "obtaining" by some means a copy of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Pro or Team System.

Unless you want to have a realy nice paying job, then you should learn C++ ^^. .NET coders are a dime a dozen, a well trained C++ coder who knows the win32 api inside and out and can create a large business app _without_ a framework can demand a munch better sallery than a VB monkey that can pump out stuff in 2 days that has to be patched every day for the next several years before the customer gets sick of dealing with it and goes somewhere else to have it rewritten in C++ Realy its all a matter of scale, most small shops that make small apps work in VB or .NET. Most larger shops that create much larger business apps, generaly work in C++ ^^.

Me and my fiance met over SS, weve been living together for 5 years, getting married in November ^^. But I would say that we are the exception to the rule, internet dating is possible, but RL dating is more reliable ^^. The failure rate for online relationships is MUCH higher once you get to the inevitable RL stage So.. Dont close it out entirly but honestly i think dating in RL is easyer ^^.

When did you start playing subspace and under what alias ?
Admiral Kirk replied to Killerbot's topic in General Discussion
I remember the name... But I cant remember what it was like. I played it in a few times myself back then. I remember now, it was VIE Alpha West if memory serves ^^ that I started in. And then it changed to SSCX? Alpha West? Or something like that. -
CompTIA certs such as the A+ do not expire, ever ^^. Others, however, do. As you mentioned, almost all of M$'s certs have an expiration to them. And as someone else mentioned, I think you have the meaning of a Cert incorrect ^^. They do not in any way express ones knowledge or ability in any particular field. What they DO show is that your capable of applying yourself to a difficult task such as memorizing useless information in order to p!@#$%^&* said cert exams. Thats what gets your foot in the door, showing that you have more than 10 brains cells and know how to operate them all The company then !@#$%^&*umes that they will be able to educate you in all other fields with some success.
