Someone should move this to Development Discussion as this topic needs more exposure. Check this place out for a C tutorial that will give you a solid foundation before going on to C++. I also would recommend downloading ebooks that teach C++ (maybe you can find a Dummies version?).

That sucks. I prefer cruises over planes, unless I'm in first class, which has never happened before.

My hp Pavilon dx9000 fits what your dad wants, and it's a good buy. I did have a problem with the computer freezing, but it was solved by using a USB mouse instead of the touchpad. I also had a power surge problem which fried the fuse in the motherboard, but hp fixed it for free even though my warranty had expired. I'm not sure if there are any later versions since I don't keep up with computers anymore, but that was my situation with my laptop.

I was going to get the G1, but I ended up getting a free upgrade to the Samsung Gravity. I know the two don't compare, but the G1 apparently was going to be improved by next year with a new phone, so I didn't get it. I can wait 2 years for the next best phone, which Google would probably own.

Hah, well that sucks for you. You should try Royal Caribbean next time then. It was more fun than the Norwegian ship.

Why not? Aside from the cheesy scheduled events, the best part of the cruise was swimming in the waters of 4 different countries in a week.

I did that too on the Norwegian cruiseline. These holidays I'm just going to work a bit and chillaxxx. that's the cruiseline i'm going on! lol... how was it? It was pretty fun. Lots of things to do on and off the ship. I also went on the Royal Caribbean for spring break the year before, which was pretty fun, too. I'm sure you'll like it.
