Moved. I'm also getting the same problem, although I always use ssforum.net. I think Polix is doing something with subspaceonline.com instead of sscentral.com.

You have to wait till they actually send you surveys. Most of the ones on the site are sweepstakes only. And make sure you complete your profile.

I just use Gmail to filter out the emails to surveys that only offer money.

Obviously, that's how they sent me the check. So far no gimmicks, I still use those services.

Every survey I do takes about 10-15 min. to complete on average. It's well worth the money since the longer surveys generally pay more for your time. MTV surveys actually give you Amazon.com money. I've done a few of those as well.

I use surveysavvy.com and greenfieldonline.com. They both work and I've made >$40 in the process, which is a pretty good wage for something I do in my spare time.

Question 1: Yes, if you want to make every single arena settings the same as the public settings just delete all of the secondary arenas cfgs. There's probably a quicker way to do this though, and I forgot how. Question 2: I thought all moderators don't need to type in the password to be logged in? Either that or you would need to change the validation setting in server.ini.

The download is on the right side of the page. It'll take getting used to, it's not actually "hard" to use. Definitely more customizable than subgame, yes.

Not sure where the ASSS site went, but it contained a useful user guide for getting started. Check the wiki that I linked for more help. And if you were having trouble with subgame before, the link I posted has LC's pre-setup package which contains most of what you need to start up the server right away. Not sure if you were using that before, though.

For a server, you can go with either ASSS or Subgame2. I'd go with ASSS since zone development, including Hyperspace, is using it. Once you get your zone roughly completed, you can contact a zone host. Some can host development zones as well as completed zones.
