I'm not here to check on the zone. I'm here to keep in touch with friends, as I still have a lot of friends I knew from this game. If I was really interested in the game, I'd download the game and log in to see, let alone if I had any interest in the zone itself. Besides, I've only posted maybe three times in the past 3 years, and when I replied to this topic, it was mainly because I was bored and had just gotten home from work, only to find my other game was doing scheduled maintenance. And I'm posting now because I figured some trolls would reply to my 'harsh' post. I remember seeing these kinds of posts even when I was trying to get a decent population going for the zone. The majority of the people who were once dedicated to the zone gave up a long time ago, which brings me to the main reason I posted here, and that was that I was surprised to see someone like Samapico still here trying. Seriously, the guy has been here for like 9-10 years, or more. But then, with DCME, he sort of has a bit of an obligation to be somewhat connected to the game I suppose. Anyway, I'll post again in a few months maybe. lolz...

Right, because everyone and their dog hasn't already tried just slightly modified versions of old pub maps. Smaller versions of pub have been tried. Pub with dueling boxes was tried (Cubs and I even had a pub with Rumble on it and a bot to run it). Seriously, how many years will it take before people stop trying? I was a fool to even try when I was still around, and Mike handed it over to me. I'll admit, I had ideas that I thought would work, but let's be serious. It has been dead for years. Not just a few years, several. I'm astonished that anyone is still trying to salvage 17th. How have they not used that slot on SSC for something else by now? Back when the zone first went to the shits, it was almost conceivable that the zone could revive, because it was freshly dead. But now, it has long been buried and dug up again over and over. You are playing with the dismantled corpse of what was only a mediocre, slightly successful zone to begin with. Wtf? Give up. Hang Mike. Develop for something that has at least a chance at success. Yeah.

Actually no, I was just extremely bored, so I was messing around with my old laptop's cookies and found that my SSForum stuff was all still there. Why would I come back to a game where the zone I would want to play has 0 population? Frankly, I'm surprised Sama is still trying (no disrespect). How many years will it take before Mike gives in? Lol!

My my my its been a while since I trolled these forums. And surprise surprise, some of the same forum trolls are still around. I've been off to bigger and better things these past years.

FYI, if I did plan to return, I'd not need to beg anyone, as I left on good terms with Mike. But, I don't plan on returning because there is nothing left in that game for me to do. Also, I wouldn't consider this a 'fight'. Really, it is just you yearning for attention at my expense. If it was a 'fight', I would assume that both of us would be hitting that refresh button every minute or so, which my post times would clearly show that I haven't been. I come on here when I'm really bored. In fact, I only popped in the other day just to see who's still around, and it didn't take long for you to stir some drama up, as your history would prove you do often. I see the 17th community hasn't changed much, even though most of it is gone.

The difference between you and me is that I don't have to fabricate a story just to improve my self-esteem. Now, I would like to point out that you did decide to take a stab at my failed attempt to fix 17th. I would love to see you, or anyone for that matter, actually succeed. As far as UT, I think it is important to note that Chambahs owned and ran the zone, I helped out. I never went there to 'fix' or 'save' it, it was in existence long before I came to it, so that just shows that you know little about what you are talking. The job portion is quite interesting, because I don't recall such an event ever taking place. More so, I'm curious why you would make something like that up in the first place, but none of it really matters anyway. Perhaps you have me confused with someone, who knows.. Anyway, please, get your facts straight before you decide to post. It will help you look less like a fool.

I find it somewhat amusing that he is putting on this facade, when he knows deep down he has some strange infatuation with me and has had for several years now. I was forced to block him on my MSN because I would have messages from him while I was away saying that he misses me, asking what he did wrong for me to be ignoring him, you know, things that would be typical of an ex-girlfriend really. As far as the picture comment, let me remind you and enlighten those that don't know. Back when I still regularly chatted with him, we were good friends. All that stopped when he sent me a self-taken picture of a guy who was shirtless giving a very homo-erotic look into the camera. He asked me to rate the guy in picture, who I can only assume is either him or perhaps his at-the-time lover. Now, I know that perhaps from time to time, maybe I joked around and made gay comments and such amongst friends, but I can !@#$%^&*ure you that they were all in fun and nothing serious was to come of them. You overstepped a boundary which should not have had to be made. That is why I don't speak to you.

Show your pictures to other people Mike and ask them to rate you, I think they will get a clear idea of what you are.

if you get pissed off about things said by people youve never met and likely never will meet and will never be affected by whatsoever, then you have more concerning issues you should probably focus on

pfft.. diverse? hes just some canadian, how talented can he be? i did a bit of everything when i was around, cept bots, which i eventually got more into and can do a bit, though im, for all intents and purposes (read that closely vegita), retired now.

to offer some insight, i think its important to note that most combinations of the various maps and settings 17th has had over the years have been tried in some form or another, as well as new ideas. it has been clearly obvious for a long time to those who have tried to help rebuild 17th that the problem does not have an easy solution and does not lie solely in 'fixing' pub. its a combination of many big and little things, encomp!@#$%^&*ing all that is 17th, its pub, events, and leagues.

ive probably got some usb jumpdrives sitting around somewhere. and yes, i pub the usb as first in boot order, didnt work. rootbear, a knoppix cd isnt going to work, as no cd has worked yet.
