In real life, yes. But online, I disagree. I'm prone to spurting out the word "!@#$%^&*!" among others on a near-constant basis in real life if I trip, hit myself, forget something, etc. but on a computer game, where you have to type it up, it takes only the slightest self control to avoid doing. As far as I know, acronyms are still acceptable. Using some such as "WTF" are pretty much a fact of life on the internet, if that's what you meant by self expression. The acronyms are used because they depict a phrase or sentence. What the !@#$%^&*? in itself is a question. If my ship got killed, I wouldn't be questioning it, because I have been beaten fair and square. Words like crap and !@#$%^&* don't express the same way as '!@#$%^&*' to me. I don't think there are many children on this game anyway, and as the poster above me said, free speech ftw.
