I just believe, as my years in industrial organizational psychology has told me about branding and marketing, that two names are simply bad. We're not establishing a brand as VIE once did, but a continuation of a community. Also, the name continuum is over used, over trademarked, and soppy in a pool of brand confusion. Subspace, the community, has been very active in one form or another and as a brand a pretty strong one until the continuum client took it's hit. Google : 27,000,000 results Continuum Google : 6,000,000 results Subspace - - Most of the front results are from this community I believe that it's not a matter of trademark anymore, as it could be reasonably argued that the trademark has not only been deactivated but unpatrolled and diluted to general use of the game today. As for MikeTheNose: What's up my homie! Continuum is a client, subspace is a game, but there is definitely brand confusion between the two. Well, maybe not for you and I, but of course for all those new people that hit subspacedownloads, and the casual player. Priitk chose wise at the time to adopt a different name but his unwise choice was that of Continuum. This was meant to be educational, informative, and well not starting of a flame war.
