SSDL was originally hosted on a Quad Pentium Pro 200mhz Machine, with a 768/768k line.

With the marvels of skype, we might as well do a subspace podcast.

SSCX Was an amazing server. It was filled with backdoors for admins to get their daily dose of 100% unrated Warbird on Terrier Porn. Spider on Lancaster, the rules of race showed no bound for these multifire videos. Watch Lancaster's drop bomb's on eachother's bases. Spiders weave bursts of deceit! Imma goin' to miss dat serher.

Yes. But the original post touched lightly on the issue.

I can verify the ability to emulate continuum via Parallels on Intel Macs. The only catch is you cannot run it full screen mode. On a G5 1.8Ghz mac you can only get about 13 fps on virtual pc. This topic isn't a help item, just informational.

Cheers to a nice upgrade!

Dear Priitk; Please stop, you're killing us.

I just believe, as my years in industrial organizational psychology has told me about branding and marketing, that two names are simply bad. We're not establishing a brand as VIE once did, but a continuation of a community. Also, the name continuum is over used, over trademarked, and soppy in a pool of brand confusion. Subspace, the community, has been very active in one form or another and as a brand a pretty strong one until the continuum client took it's hit. Google : 27,000,000 results Continuum Google : 6,000,000 results Subspace - - Most of the front results are from this community I believe that it's not a matter of trademark anymore, as it could be reasonably argued that the trademark has not only been deactivated but unpatrolled and diluted to general use of the game today. As for MikeTheNose: What's up my homie! Continuum is a client, subspace is a game, but there is definitely brand confusion between the two. Well, maybe not for you and I, but of course for all those new people that hit subspacedownloads, and the casual player. Priitk chose wise at the time to adopt a different name but his unwise choice was that of Continuum. This was meant to be educational, informative, and well not starting of a flame war.

I was noticing... that the trademarks to subspace have been abandoned. http://www.uspto.gov/ Search for "Subspace" Says that it has been abandoned, and that VIE filed for the abandonment. Thus said, the name continuum is quite useless vs subspace. The only use I see is labeling the client software.

I have tried again and again to load continuum on my iBook. It will not. Can you fix this?

New MacBook Pros out today as well.

Duh. Polix is apathetic in general.

Dustpuppy will never die. The undead hunger.
-
I would be willing to help organize an East Coast convention. Ontario or Pittsburgh or Somewhere with Polix's approval.

I'd be up for Seattle so I could crash at PoLiX's house. Screw paying to a hotel room. But PoLiX is right. The statistics on my Subspace-Admin CD and Burnt hard drive confirm most players are in that region. Except CybeRise and I.

I heard there is a SS community starting up in Seattle, Washington. I checked, and it's only $200 to get there and 3 days by bus. I'd be up for it.

I'm pretty bored. For those who wonder I have been testing continuum under Mac OS X. Its being tested under a G4 and G5. G3 are practically too slow for emulation. This is under a PowerPC chip, I am sure that a Intel based mac would show better love. Continuum .39 with... Darwine (no windows, a version of wine) : Will not work. X11 with various utilities - still working on tests Virtual PC with XP (Bare Bones) - Choppy frame rates, 20-30fps with skipping. (iMac G5) Q emulation system with Windows 2000 - the installation was excellent but crashes at start up. Will do a bit more testing, of course it looks like Virtual PC is the only option so far.

The only pro of military service drafted is the people who oppose it non-violently will be more effected because they were trained for violence. Learned that in class; woot. Another thing; Edwards told a West Virginian Grandmother (State I am from) if they are elected there will be no draft. Rather than go on a long tangent... To put things in short, I am ready for sit ins and ideals from vietnam protests to come back and will help where I can.
