If you're using Vista: Even if you are in the administrator group, you are NOT the admin of the computer. All admin actions require additional confirmation before they get processed. It's User Access Control (UAC). A stupid feature that protects your computer from yourself. therefore, Running as Admin in vista does sometimes work.
