actually, thinking about it again, there should be a server setting that allows you to turn on/off friction, or even adjust the friction coefficient, etc... (that is if you decide to add it)

im pretty sure in order to dual boot, you have to par!@#$%^&*ion your hard drive. now im not sure if this works with Linux, since its a completely different file system. best thing to do would be to get another hard drive and install it on there... but considering its a laptop, this is a no go... -

well, no, those theplanet servers are like that for everyone, but, it doesnt afffect ur lag. the problem i see, is it lies with your ISP. hop #3 is where your packetloss is occuring, and hop #5 is where ur inflated ping times are also occuring, which all lie in your ISP's routers. the best thing to do is contact them. otherwise, we cant do anything to help you also, could you do us a favor, and do that trace over again, this time with 70-100 cycles?
