You're so tight that if I stuck a piece of coal up your -*BAD WORD*-, i'd get a diamond...TY FERRIS go shoot yourself and stop playing online games. Go back into your -*BAD WORD*-ing attic w/ your single player games pleez. Thx. how about this geniuses: STFU...ALL OF YOU... oh, and, there should be an age minimum for mod...and an IQ test...so we don't have re-*BAD WORD*-s running around OH MY GOD WHAT DOES BANG DO? GUYS, HOW DO YOU SILENCE SOMEONE? :muhah: but i will give Ladd maybe one thing: WORST MOD-ed ZONE...maybe ever...but's that's all good, cause the game is so money we need more people like grav to express their superiority over others... :swift: And where the -*BAD WORD*- is the high-on-ego vet class in this zone? PS: ME4SYSOP
  3. lmao...agreed...
  4. OH MY GOD, LET MY NERD SKILLZ PWNT YOU ALL!
  5. the shark is exactly what it is: a starter-ship. It's more fun then one-btying and it gives decent cash...it's job is to allow people to start off and get enjoyment out of the zone as soon as they step in. if a bunch of vets learn to use it highly affectively? great for them. don't -*BAD WORD*- w/ it please...
  6. the new thing is utterly re-*BAD WORD*-ed. I saw more bricking yesterday than ever before. Unless that was point, which I don't think it was. It's not hard to reduce the amount of bricks people use. Which ships don't you see in the base as often as others? from most often to least, it's lanc-terr-spider-jave-wb-levi. So here's what you do. terr and spider and jave don't get any bricks. Lanc gets one. wb and levi gets two or even three. Not only do you limit the amount of bricks, but you balance the ships at the same time. This way, you don't have a baseful of lancs, terrs, and spiders. Variety is key.

Ladd, i know for sure in hz many teams stick to a roster of 12 players for a 6 person game. Guess what? usually, more than enough players show. then there's teams with 20 that barely show enough or don't show enough. Does that mean you need a team of 20? No. What do you need? A captain who reminds his players of game times, and players who show up. No need to fill your roster witn inactives. Im still voting 11-14 as the max roster. So the lesson? Get players that will actually show up. Brilliant aint it? And $100,000k per ship is good i guess. Im convinced. No ?buying. So the new section of my rulebook looks like this: ... Before the start of the game, each team is given a pool of $500,000. The captain will be given the money, and will use the ?give command to distribute the money. Everyone is then to use ?showmoney to a mod, who is to keep track. After purchasing, EXCESS MONEY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE USED LATER. ... During the game, there will be no purchasing of any upgrades or any ships. ... If you need a subs!@#$%^&*ute or wish to sub for someone use ?subs!@#$%^&*ute , a private message will be sent to the other player regarding your request. If the player you wish to sub in for you or sub you out types ?accept, then a private message will be sent to the ref/mod, who will complete the process by using a command to tell the game how much money to give to the new player. This amount is determined by what that player ?showmoneyed the ref at the start of the game. Once complete, THE ARENA will be notified of the subsitution. The player going into spec and leaving the game will have his ship deleted, and the total amount he used at the start of the game will be given to the subsequent player. Purchase quickly as NO stoppage will be granted for subsitutions. In puchasing, same rules apply as those at the start of the game. Any excess money can not be used later. I'll have a word do-*BAD WORD*-ent of the whole rulebook in microsoft wordn soon.
  9. scorereset is just homo...don't do it the suggested temporary full upgrade needs to have a cost that varies depending on the ship's upgrades. If Player A already has a maxed ship it obviously shouldn't cost very much. If Player B is a 1bty, it should cost a lot more. This prevents really low bty players from using it. As well, this keeps the price reasonable for decent but not great ships, and makes it easily excessible for more upgraded ships, which won't receive as much a benefit.

ok...maybe $500k pool. We don't want $200,000 per person...we don't want people to have very upgraded ships to start. Why? Because half of the challenge and fun of hyperspace is to upgrade your ships. So why take that away from league? It's not like it takes 5mins to buy upgrades. If it takes you 5 mins to type ?buy than may god haver mecry on your soul Here's the roster thing. You don't want a league with 4 teams. That's boring. That's lame. Thus, at least for the start, you want to limit the size of teams until the population of the zone increases, and you can have bigger teams and still have 8 of 'em. if we were running a zone with a population of say...DSB, HZ, or something, sure teams of 20 or even more make sense. The general rule I think for team size is to have a roster cap of between 2.5 to 3 times of the number of people required. So in a 5v5, between 12 and 15. However, the zone population is small, so limit it to 11. FunkmastaD, perhaps here is the way things should work. The team starts with say $200,000. Once a player is subs!@#$%^&*uted, the networth (all the money he's spend purchasing plus his current bank) of the player leaving is transfered to the player coming into the game. He can then spend that money however he wishes. For example: Player A starts the game and uses $40,000 of the cash. He makes about $50,000 over the course of the first 15 minutes. He spends $40,000 of it. A subs!@#$%^&*ute is coming in for the the last 5 minutes. Say there's a bot. He private messages the bot: !subs!@#$%^&*ute Player B and Player B, having received an automessage from the bot pms the bot !accept. The bot will then calculate the total networth of Player A ($,000 worth of upgrades + $10,000 in bank = $90,000). The bot deletes Player A's ship, and gives $90,000 to Player B to spend. When PLayer A comes back in, he will have to repurchase everything. Reading over that, it was noncoherent and extremely horribly thought out...but what the -*BAD WORD*-.

    LEAGUE

my two cents: The arena for league games imo should look something like this: The center sector stays the same. Get rid of ALL sectors except for 2. As well, decrease the size of the sectors for league. Make sure the ball can't be placed somewhere that makes it ungettable. Settings: Ship settings stay the same 5-person teams Spawn point is in safe zone in middle Bot: The bot should have the capability of recording each players selected ship at the start of the game. Obviously, during the game, it must keep track of the score of the game, as well as individual statistics, kills, deaths, kill/death ratio, points scored, so forth. Of course the time must be kept straight by the bot. A command of !time should return the time. A command of !score should return the !score. Any stoppage should result in the stoppage of time as well as scorekeeping. At the half and the end of the game, it will display the individual stats as well as the total or team stats. ONLY PLAYERS Game Rules: The game will be played by two opposing teams of 5 members each. Obviously each member’s bank must be reset to $0 at the start of the game. The only ship they own is the shark. The game will be divided into two halves of 20min each. Each member of each team, whether starting or not, must submit A SINGLE ship they will use throughout the game (other than the shark). This selection may not be changed, and it is the ONLY ship you are allowed to use. Failure to do so, results in an ejection for 5mins in which your team must play a man down. Team ship limits are: a team may only have atmost one lancaster playing at the same time. a team may only have atmost 2 $10,000 ships (weasel and terr) playing at the same time. That is, the total number of weasels and terrs playing must not be greater than two. Failure to abide by this rule will result in the score of the player with the highest individual score to be subtracted from the total team score. At the start of the game, each TEAM will have a total of $200,000 they may spend in any way they wish. The money will be given to the captain and he or she will distribute the money in any way he or she wishes. REMEMBER: Each player starts with only the shark. so distribute enough money to buy the ship. Once the money has been spent, players are to report to the safe zone. At the start of the game, the rules are like that of a regular game. Any money made is allowed to be spent to buy anything. The transfer of money is allowed. Play continues for 20min, and the half ends. At the half, everything is reset, except for bank, score, and ship settings Second half is played the same way. The scoring system will work the same way as in a public game. Winning the flag will result in a stoppage of play, the flags and ball will be randomly distributed, and play will start again afterwards. League Rules: Teams are to have at least one captain, responsible for making roster changes etc. Teams may only have no less than 7 players and no more than 11 on their roster. This insures 2 subs, and also insures that there will be not as much stacking of teams. There is no limit to the number of members in your squad, but only 11 can be on the roster. Any roster changes for an upcoming game include MUST be made 48 hours in advance to be legit. Or the change will not be in effect in the game. Two misconducts of any kind result in a one game suspension. Three of any kind results in a four game suspension. Further misconduct will result in suspension from season. Regular season will be 10-14? Games long. The playoffs are single elimination until finals, which are best of three. Ok, it doens't have all the loopholes and stuff worked out and so forth. But it's preliminary. I can help work on it if needed.

    league???

er...is there a zone league??? and if not why not??? here's my idea since i don't think there is one yet: 2 teams of 6 play 20min halves. At the end of the 40min game, team with the highest total points wins. Each team starts out with $70,000 and they can distribute amongst themselves however they like. From then on, any money made is usable to buy upgrades and etc. A player must submit his chosen ship at the beginning of the game, and may only use that ship during the game. The only other rule is a limit of 2 lancasters per team. Obviously this is EXTREMELY basic and not well thought through yet, but it's the framework from which we can build. Let the HSL be born!
