Hmm. I think is it due to the big population of bot making it look very popular. So people 1st reflex is to go see the party. And of course, one/few bullet/bomb and BOOM! Catchy for new players.

I ran screen capture last weekend. On Saturday, lag went away at 13:30 and Sunday at 13:15. Will do the same for upcoming weekend. That way I can tell when I can or cannot play matches for those zones.

Little follow up. After 2.5 month, still no joy. http://www.ssforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/bad.gif

Yesterday, Saturday 24th, it was at 600++ ms. But today, it is 11:16 am, and all good. Your theory of priority / traffic management is quite possible and they might finally unlocked sundays. Fishy.

Aww, should posted on your 20 January 2010 post. Well, not only affecting my area, and been around longer than I thought. On sort term, I am only planning to start playing PowerBall, and don't have lag when games takes place, so all good for now. If no suggestion, will just sit and wait that they happen to fix their things. Thanks

Yes, I get the same ping when in game. As told earlier, trace change over time, the faulty hop get dropped. But, as specified, it do not happen when in game. Lag just stick. Next weekend, I will do a 50 cycle. I will be like the 16 cycle.

Having huge lag from 66.36.224.209 nyc1.ge11-2.core2.dca2.hopone.net. Affecting most of the zone. http://frankllr.comuv.com/image/zonered.png This is every weekend, from somewhere in the morning to around middle of the afternoon on East Time. I don't mind much atm since I play mostly DSB. After some cycle on TW, 66.36.224.209 gets removed, but this never happen in game. ATM, we are at least two from Canada, province of Quebec, affected by that. We live around 100km apart, two different ISP. Any suggestion? Continuum works great in 2560x2048 I am not able to span across multiple screen... http://frankllr.comuv.com/TrenchWars/200903171947_TW_2560_2048.png

Weird, well make sure you have acess into security. Right click, properties, security.... If everything is fine there, I would suggest to make a Error-Checking. In Vista Right click on your drive, Tools, Error-Checking, Check Now. It will do a chkdsk / scandisk, maybe you are familiar with those names. Sometimes there are error into the MFT (Master File Table), that should fix it. If I remember, it will move all corrumted data into C:\Found.xxx\Filexxxx.chk Where the X are numbers. In the event viewer, there should be a detail of what it has done. After you are free to erase those "Found" folder and "file.chk"... Keep us inform.

Lol, oki, enough. Continue entertaing us with fake news, you better at it. Someone just lock this baby up plz.

Autopilot, hmm you can program macros. You can program a flight pattern... lol Well, not "that" pricy. I bouth a Razer Tarantula, a bit more expencive then the very popular Logitech G15 and about the same price as the Saitek Cyborg. For people who are having overturn problem, if you have a ps/2 keyboard, upgrading to a normal USB keybaord should give you an improvement. Because PS/2 operate at 60Hz (16ms). Anything USB with no driver is at 125Hz (8ms), and Razer keyboards 1000Hz (1ms). As told, problem solved. Let's get offtopic. If I am good or not. Oh well, I got invited to DSB All Star match this season. Zone(s) you playing got those kind of events? And you can see my player card on http://matchstats.dsbhosting.com/matchquer...Player&ID=1 The match statistic webpage I made for DSB.

Problem solved. Got a very pricy keyboard, but everything works as advertised. O W N E D, Now I can freaking underturn. LOL http://members.lycos.co.uk/frankllr/Keyboard/kb4.png

I have Vista, UAC on and with a user "Standar User", not admin. Just put Continuum where you have acess to write on files. Or modify security of your Continuum folder : Right Click on your Continuum folder, Properties, Security, Edit, Add your self if you aren't there yet, and click Full Control.

Too bad for me. Will continue my test on my side. Take care. We got Georges Laraque! On as Georges Laraque! Well, last question. Anyone knows at wich frequency Continuum poll input devices?
-
Bleh, not much talking in here Made a 2nd version. http://members.lycos.co.uk/frankllr/Keyboard/keyboard.zip Showing count by interval, the average of this interval. http://members.lycos.co.uk/frankllr/Keyboard/kb3.png USB polling is 125HZ, so each 8ms precision expected. Unless you have a special driver for your USB device (keyboard, mouse, etc). I have a ps/2 keyboard. Haven't found that is the polling for that yet.
-
We will get to the bottom of this From DirectX SDK, I took the C++ DirectInput Keyboard sample. Modified it to poll at every 1ms. And showing the delay between key down/up. Before testing, close other program like music player. Any music player I have on going, will make me break my record, but the average seem higher... 31ms appear my lowest. With WinAmp running, VLC, Windows MediaPlayer or ZoomPlayer (all using DirectX). I can get minimum of 21ms... I had similar result with the VB.Net program I made, but this one has much more precision. Please tell me what you got with your keyboard. And if you get lower then me, tell me what keyboard you are using http://members.lycos.co.uk/frankllr/Keyboard/keyboard.zip Make these selection http://members.lycos.co.uk/frankllr/Keyboard/kb1.png Hit keys! http://members.lycos.co.uk/frankllr/Keyboard/kb2.png If images aren't showing, just go to the webpage. http://members.lycos.co.uk/frankllr/Keyboard/

That makes sence Information about keyboard are quite rare. Found something interesting at : http://www.psych.lancs.ac.uk/research/reac...imes/input.html 17ms are gone with a ps/2 or usb keyboard. Rest is gone by the person releasing the key and the key to actually spring back. Atm, I don't know how accurate my mesurement are.

Hi, Ship has 40 directions. Most of the time, when I hit a key to turn left or right, it turn like if I hitted the key twice. With extencive testing, sometimes it even refuse to turn! And 2-3 rotation key after it will double turn... I tried with 4 different ps/2 keyboard, and one wireless usb, same issue. I tried with a different computer, with a ps/2 keyboard and with a wired usb, same result. I talked with my squaddies, and some have that problem too, as I explainned my problem. They just haven't noticed. People don't appear to notice it, and just blame their bad aim. I play in DSB, and there are horizontal/vertical tubes that are ship wide. I have to hit like 3 left + 2 right to get ligned up... freaking silly. In DSB, it do the problem with all ship, and in TW I can tell it does it with the Spider. I am at installing a SS server and trying out old version, Subspace and Continuum... Trying a joystick, if I still have that here. Any suggestions? Anyone can confirm in DSB or TW they do or do not have that problem? Thanks Old post with same problem. Mar 7 2006 http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic...amp;hl=keyboard

Where we could basicly paste in : http://www.ssbase.com/ssguide/guide/controls/index.html Remove in Spectator options : F3 key. Not working.. Add Spectator options : F4. Spec on someone with tab or ctrl. Select another player near with page up/down and press F4. Add in Communication : Shift + page up/down. Do a full page up/down F4 is Really great for duel, it center the view between the two players. Been playing for 7 years and someone just told me about his.. Someone here posted it, this feb.. http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic...mp;#entry208530. Only place where I could find it. If you know other undo!@#$%^&*ented features, would be great to have them there. Edit : Aww, F4 is written into the SS manual available at.. http://www.subspacedownloads.com/index.php...ile&fid=465 Bleh lol
