  1. If i still remembered my C/C++ probably hah. Would seem to a be an easy function to create but, ... that's me drawing on stuff i did 10 years ago.
  2. Maybe i should of posted the topic here instead of the chaos/league forum. http://www.subspace.co/topic/27353-expanding-4v4-league-to-include-warzone-ctf-powerball-and-turf/
  3. I don't see any potential population problems as long as it coincides with league games. We're all older now and half the people logging on want to jump into a game play and be on their way. I assume this is why Sunday if popular for league games since it's typically the "sit and relax" day for most people.
  4. I'd rather see the bot do the following when !forcecap is initiated: 1. Bot checks to see if any other 4v4 arenas are active (by checking to see if there is an active prac OR a line for cap in any other arena) 2. If there are, then !forcecap is granted. 3. Otherwise !forcecap IS NOT granted (as you can choose any arena and just do !cap and start a game). "I think" .. this will prevent people from stealing cap in the only prac arena. And force them to create a new one.
  5. Good job misreading what i wrote troll. There is a difference between early merging and already being in line, jumping out, and then merging again. It is not the same as already being in the merging lane to begin with. Since you're apparently a fan of the double merger i assume you're also a fan of someone who's 11th in line in essentially the pub prac arena getting !forcecap and screwing the 10 in front of them. Do us all a favor and perform your "Subspace Zipper Merger" and go start another arena instead of a double merger like i was talking about.
  6. When the entire 4v4 population is gathered in one arena and it has been that way since people started logging in for the day... it doesn't matter if it's a squad arena ... it is still essentially the main prac arena. So stop forcecap'ing it away from people that have waited in a 11 person line and go form a new squad arena. We all know that you're that jerk that sits in traffic in the morning on a two lane road that merges in to one, jumps into the empty lane that merges, accelerates quickly to the end, and forces their way in while inconveniencing everyone that has been waiting properly in line for 15 minutes. I expect more from such a small population of people that have been playing for years. - McLaren
  7. I don't know if this has ever been tried but, i think there would be some benefits: 1. Variety 2. Fun 3. Bring back players that don't have much interest in 4v4 4. Better use of rosters 5. More people on rosters getting playing time. 6. Better idea of skill My idea is that you could have an overall winner of league and then individual champions for each type of game. I think this is doable for rosters of 7+. My thoughts were that after the 4v4 rounds on Sunday you would follow it up with CTF one weekend, powerball the next, then turf after that. Or maybe nobody is all that interested in turf and you just keep cycling CTF and PowerBall. Just an idea... thoughts?
  8. I vote for an unbanning
  9. I agree it's not a huge concern. But what if it happens in league during a tie breaking match with the team that is significantly leading... and all of a sudden its now 3v4?
  10. Last month i was in a practice and i was on my second life. I don't remember if i was near saiyan or trying to attach to him but all of a sudden i hit a mine or a bomb and i die. The, a split second later i die again. The bot registers two deaths and i'm put in spec. This month i was in a gun duel with someone on my last life. I got down to 100+ energy and fly away. I was flying around recovering for a few seconds then i was spec'd by the bot at a registered kill. 1. I'm curious how this is actually occurring. Is the bot receiving some kind of kill/death packet that i didn't receive and therefore registering the death and putting me in spec? 2. Now what happens if this occurs in a league match? For instance, say the tie breaking match of the championships? How is that dealt with?
  11. Micloren/Mclaren here. I have no issues with repels being used offensively. This has been the case since the beginning of this game and brings fond memories of crawling out of a safe zone in warzone only to get repelled into mines by a cloaker that was waiting for my newbie self to fall for the trap. However, i do feel PB thor kills to be more of an exploit of game mechanics than i do skill. No doubt, it requires skill. But, i remember on the old client death attaching through walls in warzone ... and that too required skill. I also remembered that mines were stationary bombs. And exploiting that to lay as many mines as my heart desired... which also required skill. It makes no sense to me that you can pb bomb yourself a million times over and never die. But now (because i don't remember this being the case in the old client) you can do that a million times over ... fire a thor and kill the enemy next to you. Going out on a limb here, but i think Jeff and Rod would of fixed that just like they did with stacked mines and many other things back in the day. My biggest reason for considering it more of an exploit is i've seen PB thors used in conjunction with lag many times. Someone rockets in, gets in a gun duel, is about to die, but then shoots a thor. Unfortunately for the guy about to die ... Mr. Rocketeer is now two inches away from him before the thor is actually received on his screen. I've seen this to an even greater extent with mines. Nothing like someone doing a fly by ... and is almost half a screen away before lag kicks in and blows you up because they laid a mine.
