I just finished installing windows 7 (build 7000) and it's running pretty smoothly. It looks a lot like vista, but it's faster and more responsive (even compared to my xp). (Though, vista also ran better on my computer) Anyone else installed it ?

Yo, I just got this the other day, and it's pretty fun, other than the fact that everyone is a higher level then you and you have shitty guns... Does or has anyone played cod5 for the 360 yet? I got it on Friday. I'm level 19. :/

I don't usually post things from chain e-mails but I think this could spark a good discussion. Jefferson in some cases could be called a prophet. When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe. Thomas Jefferson The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. Thomas Jefferson It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world. Thomas Jefferson I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of…

For all of those wondering where ASWZ went, wonder nevermore! Due to a gracious donation of server and bandwidth by sknox, ASWZ is back! I will once again be leading this endeavor. I have no doubt it will go far better than my previous attempt. We're using the ASSS server (grelminar being an old ASWZer, it just feels right). Because of this, we already have a bunch of features that subgame simply is not capable of (flags cannot be dropped outside the map, for example). Before we open officially, there are things we need to do: Find maps. There are dozens if not hundreds of ASWZ maps out there. If you have a couple, please let us know. The old ASWZ ?go duel map is …

Back before ASWZ became popular, arenas were forced to 2 teams of 8 players. This usually caused there to be only one pub arena at any given time. Once ASWZ lifted those restrictions, games became larger and more exciting, but private freqs and center-killers could quickly kill the flag game when only a few people were in the zone. There are really four options available to us: Force 2 freqs of a set size (8 or 10). More people means new arena. Unlimited public freqs of a set size. Force people to grow 2 freqs evenly, then join them to a third freq. When third freq fills up, start a fourth. When fourth fills up, start a fifth. etc... Unlimited public freqs of a set siz…

Ok so i got a question i need answered... Im working on a .jsp file that is being served over apache tomcat webserver. I am trying to incorporate an additional functionality into from a different web interface. I pulled the Java classes i needed from this other place, put them into the directory im working on, and incorporated the java as a scriptlet <% and %> tags into the jsp file. I need that portion of java to run upon a certain button being clicked on the web page, however, heres the problem i realized: Java scriptlets in a .jsp get compiled as soon as the page is served, run, and then are done. Meaning even though this scriptlet is within the function t…

I think we can all agree that the period of 2005-2006 at least under Bush was a period of relatively high economic growth and progress. Our Gross Domestic Product went up on good margins and therefore we must have been doing good right? Oh oops the Human Development Index for 2005 that had us placed number 12 in the world with a HDI of .951 went down to .950 and ranked number 15 for 2006 and that was "progress". Oh no it turns out there was never any economic progress at all under Bush and it was all just the rich making more off the backs of everyone else while everyone else continued to sink further into poverty undisturbed the entire time? Oops sorry to burst every…

Well I was slightly dissapointed to see noone had posted up links to Windows 7 beta on my fav warez forum, but this did cheer me up: http://technabob.com/blog/2008/08/06/bbq-grill-casemod/ I'm not big into case mods and stuff, but I give this 1 an A+ for creativity.

Subgame has a "peer" function built in that allows game servers to communicate with each other. If you've ever wondered how they communicate (or you're just randomly curious about it), I've linked to a document from my project site: SubSpace Peer Protocol Enjoy! -Snrrrub

Wow, some useful ss news for once? Ya? ok, maybe not too much. Seems the server finally is working again as the website is back up, but the zone is still down. From their forums, sounds like server is fine, but the zone just isn't showing up or letting anyone connect. Must be a firewall issue or somethin.
