http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1234430/Mystery-spiral-blue-light-display-hovers-Norway.html At first I thought the photos were computer simulations, but they're actual photos. The videos are neat too. I'm no expert, but it doesn't look like a missile to me.

saw this: http://walmartwatch.com/img/blog/wsj_taxrelief.gif I heard somewhere that there's a building in Delaware that's the world headquarters of something like 200 of the fortune 500 companies. All at the same address.

I figured I'd make a ridiculous topic to contrast Aileron's. Unlike Aileron, however, I won't ragequit my own topic and may even follow up! Taken from here (maybe). “Conservatives are always wrong.” That’s all that liberal politicians should really say when it comes to contentious issues. Conservatives are always wrong. Throughout the entire history of the United States of America, the conservatives have always been wrong. Conservatives stood for the status quo as Loyalists, willing to be subjects to an unelected King. They were wrong. Liberal Framers like John Adams and Ben Franklin tried to write the declaration of a new nation that would consider all men fr…

The topic says it all... How do i do it? Ive been searching online for answers and my brain is about to burst with the complications from trying to find this answer. I want to edit images and coordinates of the images from an existing default ipboard skin so i wont have to go through creating from scratch but yeah this would be fun to do.

Cross posted from http://forums.minegoboom.com/viewtopic.php?t=8620 Long ago I announced that I had begun on a Gtk# based chat client but it was still very rough around the edges. After much refactoring and cleaning up of the code base, and spending countless hours using it myself, I am no longer completely embarrassed by the state it is in so I've turned the private bitbucket repository public. It works on Windows and Linux (using mono), you'll need to download Gtk# if you don't have it. For those that just want to use it, there's the manifold-bin package that works on both OS's available for download. If you supply "--terminal" at the command line to Manifold.exe …

I've come to a simple conclusion. I'm not joking, exaggerating, using figures of speech, or anything of the sort. The following is the conclusion I have come to after a great deal of thought and observation over the behaviors of the human race. I mean this literally and with utmost honestly: If you are liberal, I hope you die and rot in hell. There, that's it. Now, before you get all self righteous and defensive on me, first off let me point out that I am not going to read the replies to this thread, so there's no point in trying to have a two-way conversation about this. That being said, if you are a liberal, I know what you are thinking now. You all think t…

Diwa has best one yet. jabjab...one word: FUgly. Juan had the original Photoshop file for the logo posted on his website a while back. It may be what Maverick has linked to. You can probably make a very large version out of that one.

Besides stuff I gotta get done around my house, going to try and take a day or 2 and spend it on SSO. On vacation til Jan 4th, so gonna have a lot of free time, and my home project list is really dwindeling down. So if you notice things breaking, or changing... don't worry, its not things breaking on their own, its just me tinkering. I will try to post some of the updates here though... but any major requests before I get started? And anyone not on SSO staff up for a full time commitment? IE: not helping for a week or so then ditching as many have pretty much offered.

Hello, After a long time of not playing Continuum, I decided to re-install subspace. In this period of time that I've been playing/etc - I've noticed that there is a lot of dead zones on the serverlist, zones that are only crowding it - which might detour people from playing this game all together. If we are going to bring back Continuum, we need to spruce up Continuum. Since we cannot do any adjustments to the actual client, it is important to keep the zones as up to date as possible. If we do not keep the zones up to date, you detour not only new people, but also the old. Case and point: Metal Gear, it seems as though it was basically abandoned, and so the zone died. …

Hi, How did you find continuum? Was it through an advertisement on TV, through the web, or was it from a friend? Most people will say that they found Continuum because a friend recommended it to them. We have an opportunity to continue to do this, and one way of doing this is simple: By posting on your Myspace, Facebooks, Blogs, Xanga's, etc about Continuum. It can be a simple advertisement, just saying "Hey I play Continuum, its an awesome 2d Space shooter game, someone wanna play me at it? You can download it at getcontinuum.com, then post about it on SSForum.net when you've tried it out". Lemme know how this works out for you! Confess

He got pretty messed up for getting hit once. Broken nose and two teeth. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8411198.stm I'm quite surprised his approval rating is as high as it is (over 50%). He's definitely makes deals with the mob (paying them off to clean up garbage link ), passed a law to give the prime minister immunity from trails because of his tax fraud case (which the supreme court had to overrule), there were the tabloid pictures of the sex party he had a year ago or so, he bought an expensive diamond necklace for a 18 year old on her birthday (he's 73, check out http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1176839/Berlusconi-demands-apology-wife-admits-Ou…

Note: I did not originally claim that torture is useless; only that it is an abhorrent violation of human rights. However, this is where the discussion has gone: That is a matter of opinion. Personally I feel that there are times and places where torture can be useful. We can elaborate later in another topic if you want me to get into those details. Same thing with indefinite detention. Leaving aside my ethical objections to torture for a moment, I challenge the idea that torture can be "useful" on three grounds: Strategic grounds: The decision to use torture affects the policies of ourselves, our allies, and our enemies, and certainly not in ways that further ou…

I don't follow US politics much, but did he really accomplish anything nobel prize-worthy yet? Shouldn't they at least wait until the end of his term or something? Either they were simply out of candidates this year, or they needed to put the Nobel prize organization back on the news. I mean... I have no idea who won the last nobel prizes, and I hadn't heard about them for a while. (Yeah it's not a very original topic as it's on every other forum and blog, but whatever, I'm curious to see what you guys think about it)
