We've been seeing attempted login's tripping the biller software security check sums. In speaking with a couple of these individuals they suggest it has to do with using Continuum on mac/apple devices. However, I don't have an easy solution around this at this time - please report here if you're caught in this.

Lol if you want to avoid situations like this, try and remember you are not all powerful online just because you have a ban hammer, some people are talented, this guy is probably an amateur but imagine if you can someone serious whose been on computers since 1994. There will always be someone stronger or better than you are, with the resources to make a DDoS attack like this seem like a joke. People can set up an array of thousands of computers from around the world and DDoS your servers, and hide their location through a giant list of proxy's., you wouldn't even be able to pull a hoch and "threaten" to sue their ass. As I'm sure you've noticed, Chaos/League SVS Zone did not come back up Thursday which was the ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival - please note the word "estimated" . I have no further news on when it will be back up, but am confident it will be back up, and probably soon. I have, or other folks in the SSC, have posted on these boards every bit of news we've gotten on the status of things. We'd all like it to get back to normal asap. >>>>So what's the hold up? Polix might as well remove this I made couple tickets in Oct,Nov,and Dec none of them been looked at and it's not worth having that site up. If you try and contact them via game, they will in return ban you for evading cause getting a hold of ssc netops isn't happening. Anyone who gets netbanned now won't be answered to. Only way to get ahold of higher up staff is for you to evade thus causing a longer ban length. If Cheese or Kry want to troll please go ahead I've had enough of you both trolls. Thanks

My fellow pub dwellers. I write to you today in the hopes that some of you can read and somehow find your way to this forum. The topics of this letter are ones which are near and dear to my heart. Bonuses and Freedoms. It makes sense that a bonus defense or a bonus rabbit can only be had in safe... I don't know if this has ever been tried but, i think there would be some benefits: 1. Variety 2. Fun 3. Bring back players that don't have much interest in 4v4 4. Better use of rosters 5. More people on rosters getting playing time. 6. Better idea of skill My idea is that you could have an overall winner of league and then individual champions for each type of game. I think this is doable for rosters of 7+. My thoughts were that after the 4v4 rounds on Sunday you would follow it up with CTF one weekend, powerball the next, then turf after that. Or maybe nobody is all that interested in turf and you just keep cycling CTF and PowerBall. Just an idea... thoughts…

It is quite fun to watch the different "sociological" backgrounds of the players in Omega Fire. The people coming from Chaos fray around in center and sometimes establish a "supper-turret-freq"; the EGers are basing; the TWers do not really understand what flagging means, and esp. not why one would end a fun basing game by dropping all flags (and they don't really see why a game has "ended"); the people from Hyperspace sit in spec and talk; the DSBers are absent. Fun to see odd conglomeration in Omega Fire now . . .

Since we dropped to all inactive (all spec) players I decided to do a last minute server reboot, along with a biller update which should allow WINE users to connect to the server without becoming ^Banned. I supposedly fixed the antiwarp checker plugin, as well as, the dynamic base gates (which is based on population). I'm hoping with the server recycle we may see less players commenting on potential lag (although average lag and pings have been pretty good). Please let me know if you notice something that is not behaving correctly and I will look into it when possible, thanks!

Well, title says it all... I have 150-200ms in Omega Fire and keep getting disconnected. Was in there playing the a flag game in the zone with my father and we both get disconnected at the same time. Our internet is stable except for me (on wifi) so there should not be a reason why we both get disconnected. We thought it was our ISP having problems but in other zones like T3 etc, we do not get disconnected randomly like that. Just curious what is causing this.

Psyops is hosting a temp Chaos/League zone - thanks Psy! All settings are the same as the regular zone, but the server isn't nearly as robust. We'll see how that goes. Trench Wars alternative server is now online, please download the zone "SSC Trench Wars (ASSS)" There are people going around saying this is a fake zone to steal passwords - this NOT true. The zone was created by TWDev and TW Sysops. Fun fact: I was banned from Omega Fire for MENTIONING (NOT spamming) that Trench Wars alternative server was online. Hello SSDZers We are looking for people to connect to the CLASSIC zone with any Subspace client they can get to log in. So far we have forced 1.34 to log in. But it wasn't pretty. I'll see about even running a classic biller for it later on. So if you have a working copy of subspace 1.35 that you can use! We would love to see you log in with it. Hello SSpacers, Axe Demento here! Looks like some-people have been having some problems with public chat. When you come into the zone just join ?chat=kaos and talk in orange to be safe to start. Or just type out MARCO. If someone responds with a POLO. your good to go. One players in Taiwan is getting about 75% of the messages i'll play with send reliable messages and also see if i can tweek some other settings as you know i'm about the flying and the talking! Hi, I'd like to show you my game Vibrant which I think may interest people in the Subspace community. http://www.gamesfrommars.fr/vibrant/ It features intense dog-fighting against multiples AI, inertia and it's pretty hard to survive a wave of ennemies.
