I am looking for a certain kind of device. http://www.winnrentals.com/images/Suction%20Cups.JPG It's sort of like that, except bigger (well, maybe not necessarily in comparison to the cups in the picture) and electronic. Many years ago this was this dude who died (forgot why -- cancer?) who was apparently well known and famous for what he did, one of which I think was train riding. I saw a picture of him on a high speed train (like literally on the outside) gripped/attached to these yellow suction cups, and you could clearly see the digital screen on these devices too. Anyone know what kind of device I'm talking about? I don't know what they're called. Thanks! …

My router: http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/IMG_1206_thumb.jpg http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/IMG_1204_thumb.jpg The smallest heatsink there is the CPU sink; it is hot. The blue heatsink is the coolest, probably because it sits on two of the least heat intensive chips (one of them being a DRAM chip?). The long heatsink, like the CPU sink, came from a CRT monitor. It's perfect because it slides right onto the chips, and both wings have a X and + design (or a fin every 45 degrees with the exception of the insides), plus it's got that little circuitboard thingy at the end that holds the blue heatsink in its place. http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/IMG_1207b_thumb.jpg Unfortunate…

Due to issues with the bot server, league has been postponed a week. The bot server OS crashed and they're working on getting it back up and running as fast as possible. This also effects Chaos Pub just as much. So scores, stats et cetera will be up whenever they get them up and operational.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idLG6jh23yE http://www.slate.com/id/2256074/?GT1=38001 --- I have to agree. Very entertaining and kept my attention for 3mins. Didn't seem really over hyped or lame, as it does play on the whole reality of the fact that 1 shot could make a career difference.

Just wanted to post a video of a game I'm working on called Abaddon. I haven't played Subspace in a while, but SS and a game called Escape Velocity has definitely influenced me when I designed this game. I created it using a (almost) free development kit Microsoft provides for the XBox 360. Anyways, I would like to know what people who enjoy the top-down shooter genre think.

Chicago Blackhawks now lead the series 3-2. Can Philadelphia come back and cause a surprise? I'm rooting for Chicago, because Philadelphia took Montréal out and I hate them

yep. simple as that. we dont need to spend money on advertising, upgrade the graphics, change the current gameplay, none of that shit. what we really need is a new player scores site. how hard is it to make a new one? preferably one similar to the old site. TW, EG, DSB and i'm sure more zones already have their own variation, but they're not quite the same. i remember when i started playing the only reason i stayed was because of the high scores. there was actually a reason to play. eventually in a few months i got into squads and league. no wonder barely any newbs stick around now, wtf is the point?

Main Site News will soon be moved to a new articles system. This will allow all news management to happen here on the frontpage of the site instead of the forums. News Posting, Comments, etc. will all be contained here, and will use the same login/cookie as the forums. So if you are logged in on the forums, you will be logged in on the site, and vice versa. This will require the addition of a Login box on the site, but should be pretty simple to add in. Player content will also be fully controlable from the site, and specialized databases will allow for quick and easy input. It will also allow staff to manage content sections a lot more easily, and will keep everything …

As you can tell by the urls you are now visiting, everything currently planned has been merged under SSGN.net. Currently things are actually running better, and I have received a few pms that the sites are running faster. So the work I did server side to reorganize, clean up, and fix some errors has really seemed to help. There will be A LOT more features coming to the website now, and there should be more reasons to keep coming back. This site now shares the same cookie as the forums, and will allow us to have content controlled here rather than over at the forums. That does mean that the news will be moving and restructuring soon, but it will give us a few more featur…

Here's an embarrassing thread of mine in 2005. I lied about what we were arguing about in that topic. http://www.ssforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/blum.gif Post your embarrassing posts/threads. I'm sure those of you who were on any SS forum long enough have your share. http://www.ssforum.net/public/style_emoticons/default/blum.gif

Made this with a tool i came up with in 5 min. All i used (In Blender) is Bezier Curves to project a WallTile in 3D. Then I used Bevel Object of another bezier circle that was closed and had a interesting shape. This gave me a way to mod how the pipe looks in the set very easily. along with other things and lighting i came up with this: http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss31/XDreamersMS/Continuum/TilesetMaker/lol-1.png Thinking about perfecting the template and handing it out.

(Note: Sum up at bottom) So over the years, I have done MANY upgrades, changes, designs, sites, backends, scripts, etc. etc. All have been out of boredom, need, or just to test theories/ideas to see what will work or won't work for keeping my projects alive and running. SSForum was a wacky 2 am idea that has lasted for almost 8yrs now. SSCentral.com went through many faces, but sadly peaked years ago. SubSpace Online while catchy, has proven not to be the central domain for all my projects/work. Though the site's content and design will live on. I was showing a buddy of mine some of the stuff I have done around SS over the years. As where I work, knowing stuff about…

Are you good enough to compete with the best pilots in Subspace? Could you be the next Master of Chaos? Once a month, Chaos Zone, the longest running and one of the toughest zones in Subspace, holds the Master of Chaos competition. Using SVS Chaos settings, each pilot gets on her/his own freq and tries to survive to the next 10 minute round by killing one of the other pilots. In the end, there is only one Master of Chaos. Come early and get warmed up. The competition starts at 5pm ET sharp! Your generous host is matey -- Chaos Events Coordinator. If you are unfamiliar with the demanding play and high skill level of SVS, come to Chaos and practice up. The staff…
