Hey im makin a plugin and this is what i need to do: If the flag isnt dropped in a certain area (i already have that part done), i need the bot to go onto a private freq (example 4321), enter a ship, warp to the position of the flag (to pick it up), then warp to the middle of the map and *shipreset itself can anyone help me out?

hi is it possible to make mervbot-plugins with the freewareDev-C++? the MERVbot Tutorial says but i can't find any "Win32 Dynamic-Link Library" or does anyone know another freeware to make mervbot-plugins?

According to the do-*BAD WORD*-entation and code I'ves looked at (Mostly MERVbot and !@#$%^&*ociated docs), a powerball packet involves position, velocity, and timestamp. However, even for a stopped ball, the packet contains non-zero data for velocity. This velocity appears to be in the direction of movement prior to stopping. So I am !@#$%^&*uming that the stopped powerball position is based on the coefficient of friction for the ball (does anyone know what this value is?) and !@#$%^&*umes the position based on the timestamp. This is just a suggestion but what about friction for ships? If you don't engage the thrusters then you slow down. I know this isn not useful for space-games but there is something like "ground warfare" or "metal gear" where it would make sense. And what about WDL compatiblity so that you can write your own game-physics-engine in the powerful C-compatible programming language WDL? I've already written some WDL code which would be able to do that. did u know if you are in a relatively lagy zone (over 40-50 ping) and you have this bot1 (following bot2) bot2 (following mister.manners) mister.manners (going in one direction relatively fast) when you approach a wall, pm bot2 to follow bot1 they will jump back and forth trying to match the other's speed and when one bounces off the wall, it has to go back to the bot that hasn't bounced yet, and when it bounces the other one overpredicts thus going through walls, i use it to get out of the main arena in some zones sometimes

This is finaly an Alpha worth making an anouncement about. Pretty much all the new features have been Implimented now. Ignoring works both Temp and Perm (works for all msg typs, including ?chat and interzone). And the big one everyones been asking for!!!!! Client Commands now work in the Auto Field!!!!!!!!!! well ok, mabye not THAT big a deal but anyway. Its out thier, so go upgrade if you want. You know where to report the bugs. (Oh, and just to please the critics and the people infected with PEBKAC, I have coded the client to NOT send blank messages)

To have something like that. ?addfriend - Would add that person to your friend list ?friendlist - Would list all people on your friend list and show if they're offline/online ?removefriend - Would remove friend from your friend list ( i.e. FRIEND LIST: Someone [Offline], Someone [Online] ) It could be more detailed by showing what zone they're in. I guess this would be a biller thing though?

I would like to add another thing in the endless wish list (maybe Priit will take a look at the wish list before next decade ) I was thinking about arena size and how often some arenas are full, but there can be more spectators than players in those arenas. When deciding arena size you have to think what is a good maximum number of players PLAYING in the arena. But sadly, the spectators can fill the arena so that it doesn't work like it was supposed to. So what I would like is this: Separate spectator and player numbers in arena so you can limit things in a more smarter way. I guess you could make a limit for the "total" arena size too (spectators + players) …

G'day, I've been thinking more and more about synchronizing clocks. I am actively experimenting with various techniques, trying to eliminate some random and systematic error inherent in common sync protocols like NTP (network time protocol) and SubSpace. The meat of this message is a spreadsheet of experimental data from a protocol that's designed to be like SubSpace.
