So zones send out their data on port 4991. The zone initiates a connection, dir server responds, zone sends data, dir server acknowledges. Would it be possible to send the response to a server ip and get the zone data? or just even scan 4991 for any data being sent out? I know when I use to !@#$%^&* around with coding a biller, I was able to have a zone stand a lone, and then send data causing it to recycle and try to connect to me. This was years ago, and I don't remember what or how I did it, but was complete boredom and a few hrs of work. I understand this is something that wouldn't exactly be right to do, but just curious if anyone has ever tested this theory …

Now I know there isn't a lot of moderating needed in here, at times things can get out of control, waaay off topic, or just random crap not needed in here or belonging in other forums. The administrators can't always spend their time moderating that and cleaning it up. So asking you guys, who would want to step up and do this? And who do you guys think would be fair and self controlled enough to do so?

Howdy, just wanted to let everyone know about the game i've been working on called Raj Horizon. It's under rapid development, new clients coming out daily. It is heavily influenced by subspace so.... Check it out, and if you don't like it check up on it because within a week whatever you didn't like might be fixed... There is also a linux client for this game. www.nighsoft.net and a screen shot of it... http://www.nighsoft.net/files/shot8.gif

I was talking to Yzen about the WZ invitational, and i thought of expanding it into the First Triennial or Biennial (not sure how often yet) Subspace Olympics (some questions taken from the WZ invitational topic w/ the answers changed) What is the Subspace Invitational? The Subspace Olympics is a multi-zone tournament. There is one round in each zone and whoever has the most points at the end wins the tourny. How many players should be recruited per team? How many teams are allowed? It is suggested that at least 15 players and up to 30 should be on each team. This allows for each team to have an adequate amount of spectators and subs. One team ONLY will be allowed …

I think it is about time. Things just ain't going right for us over there, and we need new ideas. He should of stepped down when we all began first noticing this wasn't going to end as quickly as thought, and no new ideas we're brought forth on how we we're going to get out.

Hi, Problem: Alot of worthwhile topics in Development forum are lost in the long list of pages with topics. You really want to keep them preserved by stickying them all but that's undoable. Proposal: Make a new forum under Development, something like an archive or like "Usefull Development topics" where we can move the topics to so it gets easier to look them up and monitor them. Just a proposal, let me know what you people think about this.

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR ONE ZONE! IT IS INTENDED AS AN INVITE AND INFORMATIVE PURPOSES FOR THIS ZONE’S COMMUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A MULTI-ZONE EVENT WHICH IS TO BE HOSTED BY SSCX WarZoneCTF. To celebrate and honor 10 years of SubSpace/Continuum, the original MMOG that started it all, SSCX WarZone CTF will be hosting its first annual WZ Invitational Game. Please come represent your zone and compete against others in this new tradition to kick off the beginning of another decade of fun. What is the WZ Invitational? WZ Invitational is a single SVS Capture The Flag game. Each team that participates is a direct representation of a Zone of SubSpace/…

Probably one of the coolest videos I seen there yet. I've always been big on history, and was amazed at the stories my great grandmother would tell before she died. This is just as cool to listen to.

I would like to announce that my little website is now open and is finished. Not all my bots are on it (alot though) but maybe they will all be in time. I had to finish this site since I am not active on SS anymore (and don't plan to) as my final effort. Have fun checking out my website. You can see it by visiting http://bots.sscentral.com/mav/

So I was reading some posts and saw rootbears sig and looked at it...and it does not work out. a=1 b=1 a=b a*a=a*b Multiply 'a' to both sides. a^2=ab Simplify. a^2-b^2=ab-b^2 Subtract 'b^2' from both sides. (a+ (a- =b(a- Factor. a+b=b Divide both sides by 'a-b' 1+1=1 2=1 When theoretically proving a math equation, you may always multiply both sides of the equation, now it must be both sides, with the exact same value, as done in line 3. But you may never add a value to the equation, because as you can see from the resultant it (can) return a value that is false, a…

I've been working on a zone the past few weeks, it's taken a while but I think it's been worth it. The game is based upon basing, similar to that of flagging however, instead of flags you have 1 superball. The team who scores the goal (in flagging terms - drops the flags) wins the jackpot. There are alot of original LVZ which i've used, currently working on a jackpot lvz and fighting with certain plugins which aren't working properly (rabbit one mainly) I am hosting from my own PC, it's a decent computer but I don't want to leave it on all the time, so the zone is open 12 hours a day, and i'm hoping to get a server if people show an interest. IMO this is better than…
