Obliterating the kill messages?

I've been wondering for a long time whether removing all the kill messages is possible or not. Currently the only option is either to get every kill of the arena in your chat, which'll cause insane spam and can't be ridden with ?nopubchat, or get those orange lines in center of your screen, which is even more annoying. I wish not to see any kills anywhere, but still have an option to see the chat. I've tried removing the orange kill message's font, but it ended up removing all the ship tags and friendly spec's names too. Could i just block the kill packet, without it being registered as packetloss?

Type ?kill twice, it says "Kill Messages OFF" at one point, turning all kill messages off.

But, it still shows the orange kill messages in the center, those in which i've been died/killed
