Info and download at: dsbleague.com/aibot.html I'm really interested in feedback and suggestions on this. ps. no you can't have the source /Bjorn
Default+ Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Ok, can we use it in the zone and see how it function ?Then I´ll get a feed back to you
Default+ Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 I have an error I have it setup correctly tho.
Bjorn Posted October 29, 2005 Author Report Posted October 29, 2005 if you noticed the "fail" in the window there that means it didnt find the .lvl file specified in ai.ini or that the lvl file wasnt valid. What you need to do is copy the .lvl file you use for the arena you are going to use the bot in to the bots folder and then change ai.ini accordingly.
Default+ Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 if you noticed the "fail" in the window there that means it didnt find the .lvl file specified in ai.ini or that the lvl file wasnt valid. You right in wasnt the right lvl. Got it to work
»D1st0rt Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Bjorn, from the aibot.txt it says that you set settings with the INI file, but it might be cooler to just set them from the settings packet when you get it
Bjorn Posted October 29, 2005 Author Report Posted October 29, 2005 Bjorn, from the aibot.txt it says that you set settings with the INI file, but it might be cooler to just set them from the settings packet when you get it You dont set the settings through the ini. You have the ini to be able to change things from whatever the normal settings are. For example if you want the bot to stop using bombs in a ship you can set his bomblvl to 0 overriding the ships real setting.
Dav Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 I have seen this bot a few times in SSCC Desert Storm, its an awsome peice of work. About time this was done GJ Bjorn
Confess Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 This already has been done by Invader-Zim and SOS, along with Smong's hardcore.dll..Although he is the only one to release a public, working one to the community. Anyways, I cant seem to get it to work...

Anyways, I cant seem to get it to work... As far as I know this is the most complete one out there regardless of released or not released bots. anyways, what exactly is your problem?
»Maverick Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 I don't think you ever tried Smong's hardcore.dll plugin, confess.
»SOS Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Nice work, bjorn I like the fact that the bot reverses And I really don't understand what you were trying to say, Confess... who cares if such things have been done before?
Trained Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Nice work, bjorn I like the fact that the bot reverses And I really don't understand what you were trying to say, Confess... who cares if such things have been done before? I agree with SOS. Who cares? Its good to still see people contributing to the community. Nice work Bjorn
Bjorn Posted November 9, 2005 Author Report Posted November 9, 2005 PS, why can't we have the source? One reason is that I want the zones I develop for to have an edge, mostly when it comes to flexibility in what the bot can do.And I do still work alot on the code so if you want any specific changes you can get that by talking to me. I'll probably release it when I stop working on it myself.
